Ghost Squad made my list

I'm looking forward to Ghost Squad, especially with the price drop to $29.99

I was looking forward to getting Time Crisis 4 for the PS3, but my PS3 is played on 119" projection screen, and the PS3 is physically about 20 feet from the screen, so I think it's logistically impossible for me to set up the game due to the size of the sensor bar and the length of the cable connecting to the PS3.

- Game Party
- Lego Star Wars
- Mario and Sonic at the Olympics
- Medal of Honor (but I'll only buy if the online multiplayer works. EA has let down so far...)
- Super Mario Galaxy

Are games actually released on days other than Tuesdays? I didn't know that...There's no real structure to game release dates. Release dates given are generally ship dates and are in store a day or two afterwards. Certain "event" titles are shipped to be in store on the release date though.

Wii Available on Amazon Wednesday, 10 am PST

If you still haven't gotten around to getting a Wii, Amazon's going to have it in stock tomorrow, October 31, at 10AM PST (1PM EST). We've been hearing that retailers have Wiis in stock in certain places lately, but we've never actually seen one in stock no matter where we go—possibly because we leave the house only once a week. If you're like us, this Amazon deal is perfect. [Amazon - Thanks Susie!]

Good luck!

I listened to 1upyours today and Shane had the pleasure of previewing Endless Ocean. Before I go on, I'll remind people that it got a 35 out of 40 in famitsu. Needless to say he trashed the hell out of it. His final comment was literally something about, unless you are a 10 year old little girl than no one else should pay any attention to it.

What a douche. It basically sounded like he spent 10 minutes with it and proceeded to judge it from there. Oh well, his Sony fanboyism-graphic whore ass won't dissuade me. I'm still looking forward to it. :D

Question? Does this have anything to do with the website, 1up.com? If so, I would never venture to that site, or to anything related to that site, as they are as anti-Nintendo as anyone can get. They trash everything about Nintendo. In fact, if Nintendo were to come out with a system that did everything that the other systems did, cooked your breakfast, lunch, and dinner, did your laundry, dishes, cleaned your house, did your grocery shopping, and provided sexual pleasure, they would still find a way to bash it, because it's from Nintendo. I'm just saying.....

It sounds like a great game to play with the kids. I'm definitely getting it. Famitsu rarely gives a 35 to total crap. Shane is hardly the authority on any game besides Metal Gear Solid.

My Wii tale:

Finally managed to score a Wii online, and it was waiting for me on my doorstep when I got home from work. Also picked up Wii Play, a Classic Controller, and a 2,000 point VC Card. Strangely enough, of everything I ordered from ToysRUs.com, the only thing that got cancelled was an extra nunchuk controller. Go figure.

I spent most of the evening just exploring/configuring the Wii. I also played through all of the Wii Play games... I enjoyed most of them. I haven't played Wii Sports yet, though (although I have on other people's systems).

I'm so far behind in video game time that the Wii should keep me occupied for some time. The last system I purchased (with the exception of the 1st Generation GBA) was a SNES. I basically totally missed out on the N64 and GC. So, the VC is a treasure trove for me.

I purchased Paper Mario, and logged some time on it this evening. I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far.

My only headache is that I live way out in the sticks, and have Wildblue Satellite Internet, which hasn't been a perfect match for the Wii so far. The Wii Opera browser does fine, but getting into/navigating the VC Store/WiiWare Store is kind of draggy... as are most of the other web apps (Everyone Votes, etc.)

I guess that's just the trade off I make for living in rural America.

Overall though, I've enjoyed the system thus far. I'm thinking I may hit a used game store this week and grab some GC controllers, and maybe a GC game or two.

I managed to get a Wii a few weeks ago by going to Target right at 8 AM on a Friday morning.

I've been to Target several times for various reasons right when they open and I've seen Wiis at least 4 out of 5 times. This last time I finally had the money to do something about it.

Anyway, I'd recommend this route if you have one nearby or on the way to work or something.

I got Mario Strikers from Gamefly the other day. I really am not all that impressed. It mostly boils down to the power up shots by your main characters.

Not at all once you play some experienced characters. Try going online and see how you get whopped. It changes everytime for me :)

Going to have to second this one. The super shots are rarely a deciding factor, and it is MUCH harder to knock those out against experienced players unless you have mastered your special moves.

Not talked about much, but we are getting an awesome strategy RPG next week.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is hardly a standard Wii experience, but for an obvious GameCube game quickly moved over to the Wii it sounds great.

IGN gave it an 8.0

Quick question, is it really important to eject a game when the system is not in use? Ive been leaving my in there but since its vertical, maybe its critical to leave the system empty when not in use?

I don't believe it is important to eject it. I've had all of the games I own left in, at some point, when not in use, and have never had a problem.

IGN gave it an 8.0

http://wii.ign.com/articles/832/832368p1.html

I'm really looking forward to playing that. I've yet to play any of the Fire Emblem games, so I'm going to rent it first for that reason as well as the fact that I've never really played a strategy RPG, so I don't want to blind-buy one. I hope I end up liking it because it looks really good.

I played Manhunt 2 for about an hour and forty minutes last night and got to the third level. I'm really liking it thus far, although I'm stuck and a little pissed off at some of the glitches I've noticed. However, it's a lot of fun, even if it isn't perfect.

What do those of you who frequent this thread feel about Need for Speed: Pro-Street for Wii? I'm looking to pick up my first racing game for Wii, and I've been thinking about this game. The footage I've seen looks great, and I know that they have been working hard to implement a new engine for the Wii Remote. Are others here interested?

I've played the 360 demo and, even though I'm a Need For Speed fan, I don't really like it. It's really hard to play because of the viewing angles (I like to drive with the view from behind the car but when you go really fast, your car goes a few inches further away from the camera and it becomes very hard to see the track ahead of you.) That, coupled with the fact that there is now damage and you can total your car, makes it a pain in the ass to play. I was looking forward to playing one of the versions, but I don't know if I'll even bother renting it now.

Thanks for your input. I wonder how closely the XBOX 360 and Wii version will be, in relation to gameplay? I know that a video I recently watched for the Wii version, talked about a Casuals mode, and said that it was put in so that anyone, of any age, could pick it up, and really enjoy playing.

I would like to know what others think.

Also, is there a racing game out, already, that you would recommend for Wii?

I assume the Wii version's control would be decent. You could always pick up one of those steering wheel attachments.

A friend of mine bought Carbon for his Wii and he told me he really liked it. I liked the PS3 version when I beat it (so much so that I beat it in two nights,) so I'd recommend picking up a cheap copy of that. Also, Excite Truck is quite a bit of fun.

Thanks. I've always wanted to pick up Excite Truck. I really liked it when I played the demo. It was the first game I actually played on Wii, when they got the Wii demo units in at GameStop, a couple of weeks before the launch.

I may have to rent Carbon, to see how I like it. I appreciate the suggestions!

I think what he meant was why would you just buy the game for the Wii, since you wouldnt be able to use any guitar controllers (where as in Xbox/PS you can use previous game's controllers)

So the only item people should be buying is the bundle (unless its a package gift...one person buys the game..the other buys the guitar)

I just recall trying to get games on the "release" date and when I get to the store they wouldn't have any and they would tell me that sometimes it could take as much as a week from the official "release" date. These days games are more mainstream and I'm sure the retailers get a lot of flack if they don't have the game on "release" day.

How to interpret a video game "release date" (for most releases):

* Game will be available in the late afternoon at Gamestop/EBGames.
* Some online retailers (such as Amazon) will ship it out that day.
* The next afternoon, it'll show up at Best Buy & Circuit City and ship from most other online retailers.
* The day after that is when it'll show up at Walmart, Target and such.

Picked up Fire Emblem tonight and was ready to play, but there is a bug in the US version that causes it to crash when importing your save data from Path of Radiance. I researched it on Gamefaq and it apparently crashes when you load up save data that was on easy or hard mode. I had save files for all three, but did not want to delete the easy or hard mode saves.

I figure the easy solution is to copy the save and delete everything buy the clear data for normal. No dice though. The GameCube save does not allow copying (god I fucking hate when they don't allow you to copy your saves).

So basically I can start the game without the experience bonuses or wait for a fix which knowing Nintendo will never happen.

Figures one of my most eagerly anticipated games would be a complete buzz kill.

Free Wii Mii Websites (http://miispace.mobi/), but it's easier to just hook up with some people on here with their Wiis and just grab their Miis from the MiiParade.

If you're not sure if something holds up or held up well, seek the reviews. Also, we have a thread devoted stictly to VC releases though it has only been around a couple of weeks. No doubt the first contest will be to design a Mario.

Here's a description from Nintendo:In the Posting Plaza, users can submit, exchange or just browse Miis posted by others in their region or worldwide. The channel offers the ability to look at a random selection of 1,000 Miis or to see just the current or all-time favorites. Players have a variety of ways to search for specific Miis, including by the name of its creator or by a number specific to each Mii. Once users have found that "special Mii," they can even tag their favorites or import them to their own Wii systems.

The contest section of the Check Mii Out Channel challenges users to submit Mii creations to represent a specific person, character or theme. These could include historical figures (Abraham Lincoln or Vincent Van Gogh), fictional characters (the Tooth Fairy or the New Year's Baby) or descriptive themes ("the biggest bully ever" or "the overbearing boss"). Users can then vote on Miis submitted by others to determine the Mii that best fits the challenge. Each contest will generally last two weeks: one for creating and submitting Miis, and the second week for people to vote on the results.

For those that care, I called Nintendo about Fire Emblem. They do not know if they will fix the glitch for importing save data from Path of Radiance. It was a programing error due to the different names for the difficulty levels in Japan. It doesn't occur if you delete off your easy mode save data. I may do that as I cleared it on Normal as well, but my character data was much better on Easy.

Anyway they are taking phone numbers and emails from everyone that calls in and will contact us if they decide to replace the disc or if they can figure out some sort of workaround. They didn't think a patch would work on the Wii.

I was a bit put off by the response. Sounds like they will see how many complaints they get and if they feel its worth it they will fix the problem. This game is not for their casual market so they probably don't expect it to sell or care about pissing off the small amount of people it happens to. Not very encouraging. If this was a 360 title it would be taken seriously and patched.

IGN.com has posted their review of Medal Of Honor Heroes 2.

http://wii.ign.com/articles/833/833766p1.html

They give the game a 8.4, saying:

"What it comes down to is this: Great Wii games require a ton of passion and effort on the part of the developers. Rather than shoving something simple and thrown together onto a successful console, teams need to step up and put in the extra effort and fine-tuning that it takes to make something that really works on Wii. EA and Team Fusion were willing to go the extra mile on Nintendo’s console, and the end result is the best controlling shooter on the system, Prime 3 included. Medal of Honor Heroes 2 sets the bar for control, customization, and pure FPS gameplay on Wii - designers take note."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks like I'm going to be picking this up! They actually say it controls better than Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. That's HUGE!

Medal of Honor sounds awesome. The video of the on-line multiplayer gameplay looks great, too. Amazing that EA could do it, after the crappy on-line Madden they threw out. Hopefully the EA Nation doesn't have as many flaws, but with drop-in/drop-out (if indeed it has it), it won't be an issue. If someone else disconnects, someone else can drop on in.

This Medal of Honor Heroes game is getting some great reviews. I simply cannot wait to play a good FPS online game. I hope it's deep enough - I think I read there are only 6 maps.

But you get deathmatch, team deathmatch, and CTF. All good in my book.

A Japanese source has confirmed to Edge that the upcoming Wii iteration of Animal Crossing is set to be a social networking MMO

They'll just be relatively smaller networks I guess? Or maybe, if it uses a completely icon driven chat system, then Nintendo will consider it safe enough for children to access.

Thus far, I got the Wii and a Nunchuck. I will also get Wii Play for the extra remote. I also ordered a Wii Component cable from Monoprice.com

What else do I need?

Super Mario Galaxy! You will be playing much more than on a limited basis, with that game. It's due for release next week.

If you don't have it connected via Wi-Fi, I would do that, also. Buy a wireless router, if you don't have one. Around $40.00 for a Netgear, for example. Easy as pie to set-up. You might buy a Wii Points card, or, buy them via the Wii Shopping Channel, and get some games for the Virtual Console.

I think you'll find there's a lot you can do with the Wii!

Congratulations!

No, you can only play Mario Galaxy while on a trip with NASA aboard the Discovery. Only then will you be able to experience the game as it was meant to be played. Playing while laying down, sitting, or flailing your arms around like an ape, are not acceptable ways to play. ;)

Hey all,

I am going to pick up a Wii tomorrow .... My biggest fear is the sensitivity of the motion (actually, the lack thereof).

What I want to know is, just how sensitive is the motion sensor? I mean, with boxing, or example, is there like 3 or 4 imaginary division, where any motion in either of those areas will result in the same motion every time? Or is the onscreen location of the gloves, true to your movement?

The reason I ask, is because I tried this motion sensing game (some cheap toy) a few months back -- it was a ping pong game. And, all it did was register a yes or no when i swung... So, if i swung at the correct time, the guy would hit the ball - no matter how i sung or where I swung... So basically, instead of hitting a button, i swung to initiate the hit -- that's crap.

I am hoping that the wii takes into consideration how high or low, or left or right my hand actually is...

I hope your responses are what I am looking for.....

Thanks,

Matt!

Don't expect 1:1 motion sensing. It's simply not that precise.

MadonnasManOne
11-10-07, 05:32 PM
While it does not do 1:1, trust me that it does a much better job than just registering your motion. It comes close to 1:1 motion, but, as Groucho said, it's not quite that precise.

It's hard to describe it, without you actuallly playing it. All that can really be said is that it works. If it didn't work, you wouldn't see so many people buying one. It's that simple. People play it, and they want one.

That's the best that I can give. I think you'll be pleased.

Audiophilic owners of Guitar Hero III for the Wii have noticed that not only does the game not support Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound systems (despite that feature being advertised), but it doesn't even output sound in stereo.

I sold mine, but I think this is correct. The problem is the way Dolby Pro Logic II works. On my receiver I turn it on and whatever sound it gets over analog from the Wii it will divide up. Even if it gets a mono signal it still tries to send sound out of the 6 channels. I didn't like the way it sounded and put it in stereo mode. I guess the mono thing was why.

Anyone confirm / deny?Absolutely true. Although I have several other games with great-sounding surround sound, when I put in GH3 I only get sound out of the center channel.

I guess the mono thing was why.I don't think it's fair to blame the problem on DPLII. When properly implemented it sounds great. There's definitely something wrong with this title. I just hope that it's actually fixed, and soon. The sound is the only thing I haven't liked about the game so far.

I did try their suggestions and changed modes on my receiver, but as mentioned that only gets the mono signal outputted to more channels. It ends up sounding just as odd as when I tried listening to the mono version of Pet Sounds through all of my speakers.

Regarding the "Check Mii Out" channel. It's pretty cool. A fun diversion, pretty much exactly what I expected. I am amazed at some of the Miis people have made -- I look at them and have no idea how I could replicate it.

Some complaints: You only can see initials, not full names. I imagine this was to prevent lawsuits, but it's pretty annoying.
You can only have one Mii artisan per Wii. Somebody else in your family wants to submit? NO SOUP FOR THEM! They have to do it under your name.
There's no function to easily see all the Miis you have submitted. Workaround: pick one of your more unique Miis, and look at their friends.

Hey all,

I am in search of a gun accessory to use when the new resident evil comes out...

From what I gather, any units that combine the nunchuck and the remote are identical in function - just different layouts pretty much -- right?

I mean what's the diff between the zapper and the 2 in 1 (already available)-- they both serve the same purpose... and have the same layout....

2 in 1 picture:
http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/3894/vwiot00380001l30e4d2aks5.jpg

zapper picture:
http://img122.imageshack.us/img122/2819/wiizapper30f28c5ep8.jpg

See what I mean?

Also, I guess it all comes down to which button will be the main trigger... That would dictate which layout is best -- the nunchuck as the trigger vs the remote as the trigger...

I wonder what the "shoot" button in the new resident evil will be...

Actually, now that I think of it -- a major advantage of the Zapper, is that the nunchuck can be removed quickly and easily if a game requires it....bit I guess the 2 in one does too...lol. Back to square one...

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Matt!

Victorious Boxers is pretty good. Looks like an anime-inspired version of Punch Out (view is from behind your translucent boxer) and it does track actual punches better than Wii SPorts Boxing (which is actually designed to respond to 'gestures' like tilts and twists of the controllers, and *not* to actual punches).

Anyone pick up Umbrella Chronicles?

I saw it in the store today but I didn't feel like buying it now. How is it?

I picked it up on Friday but I've only played through the first few stages. I'm liking it more than I expected. It's about as good as you can get blending the two elements of lightgun game and Resident Evil. It's pretty cool the way it gives you a condensed walkthrough of the games. It's true to the original games in level layout and even the details of each level, but it skips the side paths and fetch mission areas and just cuts to the main destinations. And it has an arcade sensibility in that it encourages you to go back and replay stages to get better scores... you can select any stage you've beaten and replay it.

My main complaints? The camera view system is sort of stupid. Not only are you on a rail movement-wise, but your view automatically pans around wherever the game wnts you to see. Which is okay, I guess, but then you also have a very limited amount of free view with the analog stick within this system... which is kind of pointless to me. I would rather have full free view or just not have to worry about it at all. And the dodge system from RE4 is back (random warnings to shake the wiimote, or tap A or B, or both) but in a first person game I think they could have went with something more intuitive.

Overall, its fun so far. It's sort of a lightgun game with a purpose.

Also, while trying to download the Check Mii Out! channel, it's taking forever, and then hanging up with a "Please try later" message. Is something wrong with the Shop Channel?

When I was there some guy tried this but it was a no-go. Only one copy of GH3 per customer qualifies for this deal.

I picked up 3 copies of the bundle last week and had them price match the sale with no problem. I was even able to use the $10 gc coupon from this weeks flyer.

But 2 Wii games get 1 free starts today at TRU.com: http://www.toysrus.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=2255974

Why isn't anything available online? No Super Mario Galaxy. No Tiger Woods. But Petz: Horses 2 is available and ready to ship. -ohbfrank-

It's because CAG and FW blew up TRU's site late Saturday night/early Sunday morning and pretty much bought out TRU's inventory. I'm bummed I didn't think ahead on it :(

I found some stuff I wanted and assembled a cart yesterday morning, but...silly me...went to the store instead, to try and use a coupon and save on shipping. Got to the store, and it was totally picked over already. Got home and everything in my cart went bye-bye in the interim. :(

Man, there's really nothing left online. I won't be able to get to a store until Wednesday, so I guess I may be screwed on this one.

Edit: Games like Smash Brothers, Nights, and other pre-orders are showing up with the deal online. Would that work?

Oh, and I forgot this in my earlier comments about Umbrella Chronicles, but after playing it I don't think it will work well with the Zapper. There are a lot of uses of the A button involved, as well as some dodges that require pressing A and B simultaneously. Based on the design I just think this would be incredibly awkward to pull off with the Zapper. Now, I know there are other Controller layouts available in the game and I haven't played around with those. So maybe there's one that's more Zapper-friendly, I don't know.

As far as the TRU sale, I simply bought a couple "placeholder" games until the ones I want are at TRU. As long as you keep your receipt, no reason why you can't do an exchange. Assuming too that you can't find a Best Buy or Circuit City to price match, which seems to be a YMMV situation.

Picked up the Wii Zapper at Wal-Mart today. Have yet to try out the zapper or Link's Crossbow training, disappointed that the first thing I saw was the game has no case, small cardboard folder ala Wii sports.

However, I'm sure someone will create a nifty case size cover soon enough.

Anyways, if you're in need of a zapper fix call your local Wal-Mart if you're looking to do some shooting tonight.

I was in Jersey, total came up to $21 and change.

I think it's just GS and EB charging the extra $5.

So far Crossbow training is pretty cool, I know it'll have me addicted. The Zapper itself might take awhile to get used to. Also, be prepared to do some fine tuning for the cursor/crosshair when using the zapper.

I went to one local Toy's R Us, to get in on the Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal. Every single game I wanted was out of stock, at that store. Come to find out, yesterday, they got 130 Wii's in, and the guy said they sold completely out by this morning. He said that almost every single person who bought a Wii picked up at least 3 games, and most of them actually bought 6. I believe it. They literally had around 40 games, total. Most of those were multiple copies of the same game.

I ended up buying 3 $49.99 titles (B2G1 free), and used my $25.00 Gift Card from the Super Mario Galaxy deal. Because I spent $75.00 or more, I used the coupon from this weeks ad, and also got a $10.00 Gift Card. So, for $83.83, I got three games, and a $10.00 Gift Card. I came home, and called the other location. They had the three games I wanted. They told me to bring the games I bought from the other store, and they would exchange them.

So, my haul was: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, and Need for Speed: Pro-Street. All for $83.83, plus I have a $10.00 Gift Card to spend on another purchase! Not a bad deal, at all!

Not that I have any time to play them, right now. I am still working my way through Super Mario Galaxy. I have 32 Stars, at present. I'm not rushing through. I'm really taking my time, and enjoying this game. In fact, I've went back and replayed some levels, just for the heck of it. I really LOVE this game, and it is the best game I've played in many years.

Anyway, I'm excited to at least try out my new purchases!

By the way, the Wii has now turned 1 year old as of November 19th! I've had my Wii since November 26th, 2006, and I have truly enjoyed it. It's the best console I've had since the Super Nintendo Entertainment System!

IGN.com is celebrating Wii's One Year Birthday, with an 8-page article:

Engadget.com is also celebrating, with a Wii Cake (which I swear I've seen before):

USAToday.com has a great article on the popularity of the Wii:

I'm sure there are more, but, I'm busy celebrating with some great new games, including the best game on Wii, Super Mario Galaxy!

I checked out Toys R Us yesterday and the Wii section was wiped out with the sad exception of Zach and Wiki. Even with a B2G1F deal no one wants that game.

I'm going to try again on the 21st to see if they get anything in. I would like to get in on the deal, but don't want to hassle with the buying and swapping later thing.

I picked up BWii and Fire Emblem in the sale (even though I'll keep neither...) as well as the new Disney Princess game for free. That one I'll keep for the girls.

I'll just either swap the other 2 out later if something comes back that I'm interested in (Zack & Wiki) or I'll just return them on the gift receipt for store credit like I did today with Halo 3 I got in the general B2G1 sale from October.

I wasn't planning on going in the first place, but I had to return Halo 3 anyway so I decided just to dive in again... Plus I got the $10 gift card from their holiday catalog offer.

The Wii section at the first TRU I visited on Sunday looked like something out of Dawn of the Dead, but after visiting a second store I was able to purchase exactly what I was looking for.

I had thought about using the $10 GC w/ $75.00 purchase in addition to the SMG GC, but it expired on 11/17. But I can't complain, I was able to get the games I wanted and my average price per title is below $30.00:

MLB Power Pros
Super Mario Galaxy
Wii Play
Zack & Wiki

And the best part is that my Wii arrived today via FedEx. I had never previously purchased games for a system I had not yet owned.

I went to TRU at about 1:30 on Sunday, and it was ugly. Any game you'd actually heard of was GONE and stuff was strewn everywhere.

Still, I managed to get two copies of BWii (which I actually wanted) and Fire Emblem. I had some other shopping to do at Wal-Mart, and they were cool about letting me swap a copy of BWii and Fire Emblem for Lego Star Wars and Medal of Honor.

So...BWii, Lego Star Wars and Medal of honor for about $80...not too shabby.

I read on cag that someone had trouble doing this with the free game. They wanted him to go back home and trade back the other two also. Which didn't make sense to me.

However, I am going to try and trade in one of my games for DBZ T3 when it comes out. I actually want the game I have but I'm sure it will drop in price and I'll be able to get a better deal on it. Also I have two other games to play in the series first.

Hey there isn't a Rock Band for the Wii. What the hell is that about.

Isn't the game published by MTV Games, or some company related to MTV? I believe that the answer lies there. MTV probably considers themselves "too cool" to publish the game on a Nintendo system. You know the type of viewer they go after. So, they've decided that those type of viewers play the XBOX 360 and PS3.

It certainly isn't because Nintendo wouldn't have welcomed the game. In a recent interview with NOA's Senior VP of Marketing and Corporate Communications, George Harrison, Game Informer asked, "GI: Is it odd that Rock Band is on every platform except for the Wii, and is Nintendo pursuing Rock Band with EA?

Harrison: I’m not sure what the reasoning or rationale was for not including it on the Wii. Certainly, Guitar Hero III has done quite well on the Wii, and we view those as games that can appeal to the expanded audience, in the same way that Wii Sports does or any of the Brain Training types of games can. I’m not clear what the decision was for not bringing it to the Wii."

YMMV, but my Toys R Us was loaded this morning. I went in there in hopes of trying to find 3 average games among slim pickings, and walked out with 6 games that I really wanted. I could have easily gotten 9 or 12 good games though, but I didn't want to hurt my wallet too much.

I scored:
Wii Play (nolanpb, yes it is part of B2G1F)
Godfather: Blackhand Edition
Zak & Wiki
Resident Evil 4
Medal Of Honor Heroes 2
Super Paper Mario

Battalion Wars II, Lego Star Wars: TCS, Metroid Prime 3, Trauma Center: New Blood, Madden 08, Tomb Raider Anniversary, and several other great games were plentiful. Didn't see Guitar Hero III though...

This has to be one of the funnier thoughts about why it's not on Wii. My guess is EA/Harmonix started out doing it on Xbox 360 and PS3, not realizing how well the Wii would be selling. Therefore they have to push the Wii version out as they'll need time to adapt the game for the system.
