DVD Talk Review of Saw IV
So I just read the theatrical review of Saw IV http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=31155 and...
I felt like the movie makers were insulting my intelligence with this flick. I've never really appreciated the Saw sequels, seeing them unnecessary. I understand the Hollywood machiene of squeezing the last dollar out of something, ergo they were made. After watching the first Saw, I remember walking out of the theatre thinking "Man that was awesome!. The killer gets away with it!." Then thinking back on the film and saying to myself, it was there all along. It was one of the few times recently that I've lefta horror movie actually liking it. But then comes the dreck ala sequels. II was interesting to say the least. III was abysmal. Now comes IV, which I consider a giant slap in the face to someone that appreciated the original so much. With each subsequent sequel, the original becomes dilluted and not much fun for me anymore. Just my thoughts tho.
