Anyone else picking this up tomorrow? It's up on itunes right now and I just picked it up. I always preferred the SOAD songs where he took the front, so this will be interesting. I'm on the first track right now, so far - sounds like Serj :)

he was always the lead singer. Daron only really started singing on Mezmorize/Hypnotize. And in the opening track to toxicity "prison song"

I'm all over this. Gettin it at lunch. Is the single representative of what the album sounds like?

I want to get this. I never really got into SOAD but I alwayss thought he had an amazing voice and was hoping it would get utilized in a way more to my liking. I suppose I should try to get a taste of it somewhere first.

The songs sound abit more "concentrated" than SOAD if that makes any sense.

I'm getting the deluxe edition after work today. Anyone else download the exclusive tracks(s) from itunes? I heard there was at least one song that isn't on the deluxe edition, which already has 4 bonus tracks over the regular edition.

A very solid album, not a clunker in the bunch.
Great replayability, structured like a SoaD song, which is not a bad thing of course.

Also Looking forward to Daron Malakian's 'Scars on Broadway' album release in the spring.

Ok, got the DE on Tues night. I'm really diggin' this cd. I've always loved Serj's voice, so an opportunity like this to showcase it is welcomed. You can tell that a lot of the craziness in SOAD's sound isn't all from Daron since Serj seems fairly schizo on this album all by himself. I really like the use of piano on a few tracks, and the female guest vocals were equally excellent. I still haven't read all the poetry in the booklet, but overall it's a nice package.
