DVD Talk review of 'Roots - The Next Generations'
I read David Walker's DVD review of Roots - The Next Generations at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=30916 and...
...at the risk of showing my knee-jerking, bleeding heart reactionary ways over what is merely a straight-forward review, I must point out that Walker's hypothetical phrase by actor Harewood "don't put none of that shit on me" simply sounds stereotypical and insensitive. He may have written it as irony, but really, just because the actor is black doesn't mean he would speak in a double-negative, expletive peppered tone. If the actor were Asian, would the author write, "so solly, me no rikey shit on me?" You know what I mean.
End of small rant.
