Thanks for posting. It should be noted that the Cast Away 2-disc version has been on Target's $5.50 rack (and on sale for $4.xx a couple of times in recent months).
Some of the others do appear to be some decent deals.

Yes, they had about 6 copies of the 2-disc edition of Walk the Line. It's been quite some time since I've seen that in the store (they usually only carry the single disc version).

SO glad I grabbed Walk the Line before it disappeared. Wonder if Man on Fire will be hitting BD soon...
I might grab Ronin if I'm in the area; I don't trust MGM to carry over the SE extras to the BD. I've been meaning to get this on DVD since I was 11 and I never did. Seriously. Haven't seen it since the theater either; seems like I'll fall in love with it now.

These DVDs are on one side of a wire rack in the middle part of the front of the store (nowhere near the DVD section of this particular store). They're on the same display as the DVDs from the MGM Decades Collection (bare bones versions of movies with a LIFE booklet and CDs from the decade), which is kind of strange, since Amazon says these are being released in December.
There's obviously no consistency in terms of when these deals are presented in the stores, since it took about 2 weeks after the thread appeared here before my store had the $3.98 Paramount display (which unfortunately did not contain any 3 disc World Trade Center copies or 2 disc MI 3).

I don't think I've ever seen a wal-mart deal on here that didn't show up in my wal-mart (a few titles might be off, like the WTC 3 or something but the same display is always there) and I've yet to see it. They didn't get it this past week, so I'll run in Monday night around midnight-1 and see if they've put it out.

Hit 5 Wal-Marts today but didn't see any of these titles. I saw the $3.98 DVDs at the same Wal-Marts within a week after the original sighting was posted of those. Looking all over the store but the stores that have the "decade" edition DVDs don't display them in the front, they're in a thick wire rack in the electronics section in a row with the standard 2 big aisle DVD displays. For the past week some Wal-Marts have also been displaying horror titles on the side of those wire racks, I think they're $7.50 and include The Shaft (not the Sam Jackson movie, heh) and House of 1,000 Corpses. Maybe this is the spot where this new assortment of titles will go once Halloween passes.

Those are 4.88, unless prices are mixed, as I know at least a few of them are (because I checked!)

I was in Wal-mart today and saw this display, kinda....meaning the DVD stand was there but was missing the DVDs mentioned by the OP. There was a shelf tag for each of them. There were several other 9.96 titles in the display--Mission Impossible was one, but none of 'em seemed worth mentioning at that price.
I didn't check for this deal last week after everyone reported not seeing them. So now I wonder whether I observed a display that had been picked through, or the display with many of the titles not yet put out. I couldn't find anyone to ask, but I may run back in sometime in the next 24-48 hours.

FYI...the 2-disc version of "Bad Boys 2" was added to the titles in the original in my store.
It's weird that my local store displayed these titles a bit early, as I often have to wait a week or two after reading about a deal here before I see it.

At most Wal-Marts, outside the section there are three or four racks. One of them is shaped kind of like an I and on one side there is 9.44 movies, the other side $13.72 movies. These often contain double features and things. There's also a 7.50 rack and a 5.00 rack. In both of my Wal-Marts, very close to the I shaped rack, there is a flat rack that used to have CDs on it but recently had "era" MGM DVD releases like Carrie for the 70's and they came with a CD. When I was at Wal-Mart the other day I saw Walk the Line and Platoon and a few others on there so if you know what I'm talking about I'd look on that style of rack in the DVD section.
I live in Washington, for reference.

I saw these today while looking for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Special Edition. It includes what the OP has listed. I would recommend looking through the racks outside of the electronics section. The rack I saw had CDs and Spanish DVDs on them.

OK scratch that, I found it tonight in Eppin' bub! :D
Keep looking at your local stores folks, they will probably show up. Took 1 week after the OP before they showed up here, although I didn't go to that store yesterday, so it may have been 6 days. So they are cross country now, and bound to be everywhere soon, although I did go to 3 stores today (others in Salem and Hudson) and only found them at my last stop.
These titles have now taken the place of the Decades dvd&cd collections that were there 2 days ago at this particular store. That rack now has one whole side of these $9.96 dvds (all the stuff OP mentioned, plus other not really exciting deals like Blue Thunder,Ferris Bueller, etc.) There are also some other deal dvds on a different smaller side of the rack. The other two sides of the rack have cd's in them, a bunch were halloween related. I looked around and cannot find out where they moved the Decades collections to, they appear to be gone now.
So keep looking, they are bound to be showing up in your local store very soon.
Thanks again to the OP, check your PMs if you still want WTC 3-disc.

Looks as if they just hadn't stocked the display yet. Tonight all the titles mentioned by the OP were there. Kind of humorous to note that the Man On Fire CE had an sticker on the front that mentioned the DVD contained a movie coupon to see Fantastic Four...expiration date 7/31/05

Yeah, that's the one, I saw it too. <s>Either way it's the same two discs they keep repackaging over and over so the content is still the same all these releases later.
