the ace ventura set is cool for $8. it's not like all the other double features pictured. it's a legit box set. 3 thin snapcases and a slip cover. (like family guy)

I went to get Christine SE with the free movie cash and they only had copies without the cash. They opened a couple to make sure too. I'll be going back Tuesday to see if they get some new stock in.

You/they think the movie cash is inside the DVD? When I glanced at the ad, it made me think it was something separate. Anyway, not much of a surprise that you can't find it either way on the 1st day of a sale at Circuit City...

Season 1 or 2 of Addams Family for only $17.99, that's fairly tempting. So the decision now is should I hold out until it dips down to $14.99? Then again, it may suddenly go OOP and this may be the lowest price it will ever be....

It's actually volumes 1 and 2 of The Addams Family... the show ran for two seasons, but they broke the episodes up into 3 volumes. There's also a complete series set coming out in November; the SRP for that is $69.98...

If you are going to pay $17.99 + tax each for 1 & 2 you ought to just spring for The The Complete Series at AMAZON for $48.99

Just went on CC's website and its $12.99 for "28 Days Later" so add $17.99 for "Wrong Turn 2" - makes it $30.98 - $10.00 = $20.98 before tax. Or do they charge you tax on the $30.98 first and then take $10.00 off? Either way you look at it - its a better deal than at Best Buy who is charging $17.99 on each dvd if you buy them separately and $25.00 if you are buying both at the same time.

LB...

Dead Like Me is a good deal for $17.99. I'm probably in for Stargate Atlantis S2 and some of the movies with a free ticket to 30 Days of night...

He was asking about the new "28 WEEKS Later", which is getting released this week. It is the sequel to "28 DAYS Later".

Whenever I check CC's website, the online prices rarely show the in-store sale prices.

$17.99 + $17.99 - $10 = $25.98

The image in the ad seemed to suggest that the ticket would be contained inside specially marked packages. The fine print also suggests that the movie cash inside can be alternately used to purchase a dvd.

"Includes Free Ticket Good Towards '30 Days of Night' or a select DVD from Circuit City. Up to $8.50 at participating theaters/Circuit City. Expires 12/31/07. Details inside."

Management seemed to think they were supposed to receive a handful of them to hand out, but they also thought it would print out with the receipt. Essentially they had no idea how the promotion was handled and opened up the product to cover all the bases.

Is the movie cash from CC different than the one from Best Buy. I got some item there with movie cash but they don't work at the theatres close to me (AMC). Anyone know if this type will work there?

AMC generally doesn't support Movie Cash or other similar services.

Went back and exchanged my old copy for the right one. They had it set up in an aisle apart from everything else, not in a bin like they usually do with these sorts of sales. The movie cash is inside and the dvds that are eligible for this promotion are:

Anaconda, Bad Boys SE, Sniper, Wild Things Unrated, or XXX SE WS.

I'll probably just go to the movie.
