Curb Your Enthusiasm - "The Freak Book" - 10/7/07

Spoiler:
This week, a book about freaks, coupled with a chauffeur's incapacity, sets Larry up for a string of ejections involving Ted Danson, John McEnroe and a group of mourners in Episode 55: The Freak Book.

This was the worst episode of the season. Besides the fact that the plotline was weak, John McEnroe is a horrible actor.

Well, I laughed my ass off. Although the scene with the crying family in the limo was a little longer than necessary.

The gift opening scene at Danson's house was pretty damn funny.

The McEnroe "talking his ear off" scene was a lot like when Larry was stuck on the ski lift with the Jewish daughter. Do you have allergies? Do you garden?

I liked it. I agree that McEnroe is a bad actor, but I love him, so I don't care.

The gift scene at Danson's was the best part...certainly the weakest ep of the season so far, but I laughed a few time.

Funny, but not as good as the other episodes.

I laughed a few times, which was more then I could say about last week's episode. I loved Larry bugging the shit out of John McEnroe in the limo. He kept going on and on...and on...

True, but it reminded me more of him and Cheryl driving to the baptism.

"Grape works as a soda. Sort of as a gum. I wonder why it doesn’t work as a pie. Grape pie? There’s no grape pie."

"Do you think we really needed Alaska and Hawaii? They gotta ruin everything. They ruined the continental United States. Ruined it! We have a beautiful Pacific coast, Atlantic coast, that’s the continental United States. You don’t need more states. We’re not the British Empire. Are they trying to turn us into the British Empire? And what is Puerto Rico anyway?"

Most definitely the worst of the season for me. A few laughs, but everything was stretched out beyond their capabilities.

Once again, I LOL many times, and the screaming match between McEnroe and Larry was great.

Wow this season is very average, and I feel that the shows best years are behind them. Don't get me wrong, there are funny parts in every show, but the humor feels forced this year between the cast, the stories are getting a tad ridiculous, and this is suppose to be a show about nothing! I still faithfully watch it every Sunday, cause it is still better then most crap on TV, but if you get a chance watch the reruns every night on HBO Comedy at 7:30, and it shows how much this show has dipped in the past few years.

Yea I really agree.

I just caught an episode from season 2 where Larry was concerned about his limo driver, and got caught trying to bring a fork out to him. I had forgotten about that episode, and thought it was odd that they basically reused the driver concern storyline in this episode.

I'm loving this season. I'm the exact way about those Freak Books.

I'm sure if people saw this season first they'd think it was brilliant, it's just by now everyone knows the formula. That's why shows should get out when they're on top.

Limo driver getting trashed in Danson's house was hilarious. Even better when Danson then decided to give Larry the boot. I like this season so far. It's the funniest thing going on tv right now.

I love how easily everyone tells everyone else off and kicks them out on this show.
