"Pie-lette"
Spoiler:
Ned works in a pie store and seems to lead a perfectly normal life. This, however, is far from the truth. Ned can, through the touch of his hand, wake people from the dead. He decides to use this ability of his to solve crimes, but this appears to be much more difficult than it sounds, when he gives life to his childhood crush, and decides to let keep living.

I can't wait to re-watch the pilot in HD.

I'm expecting this to be my favorite new show of the Fall----no pressure.

So this is like Re-Animator (without the gore) meets Tru Calling?

I’ll also definitely be checking this out tonight & it’s probably the new show I’ve been looking forward to seeing the most. The premise sounds interesting & it’s been getting rave reviews so most likely, it’ll be cancelled.

Chi McBride is always good & besides the premise of the show, he’s one of the main reasons why I’ll be tuning in.

Hope it’s good!

I'll be checking it out due to the reviews. Looks kinda quirky for network tv though.

I loved the pilot. Reminded me a lot of Edward Scissorhands in tone.

Hopefully the future episodes will be as good, as it's a fine line between quirky & charming with cheesy & hokey. They'll have to find a good balance.

Not surprising since it's the same creator/executive producer (Bryan Fuller).

Has it been receiving good buzz?
In all the magazines and newspapers I have read say it is one of the top 5 best shows of the season.
I have to agree.

I think it's more Big Fish meets Dead Like Me. It aired here last night and looked great in HD. I thought overall the show was pretty damn good... however, the first 5 minutes were trying so hard to be 'whimsical' that I almost turned it off (glad I didn't) but then once we get into 'now' it was fine.

I liked the leads and though Chi McBride did a good job to reign in the 'sweetness' that this show has. The dialogue was witty and sharp, I like the concept and most of the execution, it's just that (as seen in the final scene) sometimes it's far TOO CUTE for it's own good and that aspect really bugged me.

Those minor annoyances aside, I thought it was a lot of fun and I'll be watching again.

As some have already said, I cannot wait to see this in HD. Off the top of my head, this could be the only new show that I even care about..

This wasn't even on my radar until I heard about how good it's supposed to look in HD. Now I'm looking forward to it.

This is the best pilot that I've seen this fall, but I'll be shocked if it's a ratings success. As mentioned, it's reminiscent of Wonderfalls. It's stylish and charming, but it's not as compelling as some shows. It's accessible and fun, but it's probably too offbeat to attract a large audience.

Noticed that too, but I'm guessing the answer is "no," it won't be replayed throughout the season. IIRC, they'll do this for the pilot and maybe 2nd ep of a lot of shows, then put something else in that timeslot.

I'm looking forward to this. Really liked Dead Like Me and the same people are doing this. To bad it will be canceled soon.
