DVD Talk Review of "The Mistress of Spices"

OK, so I agree without a doubt with Roger Ebert that India's Aishwarya Rai is the most beautiful woman on earth (how can a woman look that flawless without makeup is beyond me), but this movie had very little going for it.
The review though, is a bit harsh. Its not funny or unintentionally hilarious - its just... bland. The only thing here is her beauty, and her Anglicized Indian English accent is a bit hard to get into. Dylan McDermott shows up with virtually nothing to do, I don't get it.
In the end, I wasn't sure if the lead actress gets the guy or if they're just testing the waters - a more definite conclusion would have been better. And this DVD has a woeful lack of extras.
Any Aishwarya fans in the house?
