Should be another good season especially coming off an Emmy win for Spader.
I wonder how they will explain Brad, Denise, Paul and Claire's departures.

S3 was a major disappointment (and Spader winning Best Actor Drama was beyond absurd) so I am hoping for a rebound. However, 4 years is the typical shelf life of a DEK show, so I have my doubts.

After they added John Laroquette, they announced that all the characters I mentioned would not be returning. But, I heard that Brad and Paul will be back as guest stars for a few episodes.

First, I was kidding
Second, you don't headbutt ever
Laroquette makes a good edition though I don't like him sleeping with Bergen. Seems like Brad may still be involved in the show.

The cast changes don't seem to bother me on this show, haha.

The opening was gold. The rest - meh, although Alan's ex was very pretty (bringing back Rhona Mitra would have been better however).
I'm surprised that they are wasting John Larroquette's talent playing the straight-man in this ensemble.

I agree that it was too long and too stale. The Clarence thing is a dead horse, as is the "Hands" thing and now they are just annoying cartoon characters. They've added new characters so they can cycle them through some rehashed plots. Having watched all of the episodes so far, I feel compelled to keep watching, but I found myself thinking "I hope they cancel this show so I don't have to watch it all season". I know that's totally illogical, but I have OCD when it comes to shows I have watched for a long time as if I have some investment.
