Journeyman---Series Premiere---"Pilot" 9/24/07

Hopefully this will retain alot of Heroes audience and somewhat compete with CSI:Miami.

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Debut: San Francisco journalist Dan Vasser (Kevin McKidd) mysteriously travels to the past and alters the paths of people's lives. In the opener, Dan is inexplicably transported to the 1980s, and must determine why he is there and how to explain his disappearances to his family and boss.

Watched it OnDemand last week and thought it was decent. I like Kevin McKidd and it was entertaining enough that I'll keep watching if it maintains this level.

I am a sucker for time travel plots and liked Kevin McKidd in Rome so I am kind of looking forward to this a bit.

I enjoyed it. Hope it gets a longer life than Daybreak did last year.

What's with McKidd's horrible american accent? It's nice to see Mike Kellerman still getting work. Anyway, I thought this show was lame.

Great show. I season passed it.

But I'm going to watch the ratings this time. If this show gets Jerichoed I don't want to have wasted my time.

This was... fairly mediocre. Nominal acting on nearly every level, but the premise is such that I will stick around for a little while longer.

While I can see that they're (obviously) going for an overreaching arc in regardst o everything, I really hope they have multiple storys throughout the season that are interlaced and overlap on top of one another through several episodes.

(Oh, and where can I get a Motorola Q that magically transforms into an Apple iPhone when you turn it sideways?)

My prediction: this won't get Jerichoed, it'll get Daybreaked! Or, is that Daybroken.

Not bad, but not great. The time travel angle and Moon Bloodgood ensure I will watch at least a couple more episodes.

I liked it. But it looks like one of those shows that takes forever to solve the major mystery..while solving the smaller mysteries each episode.

I hope it lasts...NBC would have a nice block right there.

Ha, I noticed that too.

The show was decent. Nothing fantastic, but good enough that I'll keep watching for now, especially since it's on after Heroes and there's nothing else that I watch during the time period.

Hopefully it picks up and becomes a bit more interesting, but based on the previews, I'm not holding my breath. We'll see.

I tuned in because of Kevin McKidd but I wasn't expecting to like it...but I did. It wasn't great, but they've got some interesting characters here and at the moment where Future Olivia showed up in the past, I got hooked...that part was pretty fucking cool. I'm curious to see how it does in the ratings in the next few weeks but I'll stick with it.

I thought it was OK. Hopefully, the writers tone down the "family drama" aspect off the show. If, after a few episodes, he's arguing with his wife about missing his son's soccer practice because he was doing his "Journeyman" thing (Sample Dialogue - Wife: "Instead of always thinking about the past, why don't you start thinking about OUR FUTURE!!!) I'm out.

I'm willing to stick it out longer if they can keep finding reasons for Moon Bloodgood to take off her clothes in every episode

Didn't really care for it all that much. Didn't care for the reaction toward time travel. The acting was ok and the look was ok also. Just didn't grab me but I might tune in next week.

I thought it was pretty good. The time traveling element still has lots of question marks for me, but I like McKidd and thought he did a good job.

I was surprised to see Moon Bloodgood again in another time traveling show! 1st Day Break and now this.

Also, I was pleasantly surprised to see Gretchen Egolf as the wife....the last time I saw her was in Martial Law season 2 seven years ago.

Pretty good start. Will watch again. Out of all the shit NBC tried pairing Heroes with last season, I think this is the most compatible.

I liked it and will watch it again.

I agree that they need to tone down the Family part of the show - Sam didn't have to deal with a bitching wife, and because of that he got to bang a hot chick each week

I hope he pulls a Biff and places a couple of bets in the past - we know that he has a gambling problem (ohhhhhhhh)

Quantum Leap = Journeyman

AL = Moon Bloodgood
Sam = Lucious Verenious
Ziggy = The Internets on an I-Phone

I think that the "family" thing will kill the show. As I said before, Sam was free to sleep with hot chicks - Journeyman is married and has a thing for a ex-fiance who died in a plane crash (the ultimate C-Block)
