I saw a trailer early this year on a DVD (not sure which one) about a comedy centered around the opening of Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Looked like Carrie Fisher and/or Mark Hammil were in it, and I think it was a group of nerds trying to get to Skywalker Ranch to see the premiere. I thought it'd said it was coming this fall, but I've heard nothing of it. Am I crazy?

I believe it was originally titled something like 5/25/77 The date Star Wars opened.

Current release date for Fanboys is now scheduled for January 18th, 2008.

yea it's fanboys and it was pushed back because george lucas liked it so much that he allowed them to use the actual star wars sound effects in their film and kevin smith liked it so much he wrote a scene or did a cameo or something so they shot that and added it to the film and kristen bell is in it. so nerds all over have big boners for this film.
