Hopefully it's widescreen. I still own the original DVD from 1998, but I know Sony dropped the widescreen side of the disc a few years ago.

So getting this. I was bummed that the odds of me getting tickets to their reunion tour were soooo slim.....this will ease my pain a bit.

Here's hoping to a group commentary with The Girls and ALL of the videos from the Spice World album, and maybe we can see that deleted lesbian orgy scene

Ohmigod! I haven't seen this since the theater! Sooooooooooooooo buying this!

FACT: Using this movie, you can link Meat Loaf to Tom Arnold in five easy moves.

1. Meat Loaf was in Spice World with Roger Moore...
2. who was in A View to a Kill with Christopher Walken...
3. who was in Last Man Standing with David Patrick Kelly...
4. who was in Commando with Arnold Schwarzenegger...
5. who was in True Lies with Tom Arnold.

You could actually cut that down a step.

1. Meat Loaf was in Spice World with Roger Moore...
2. who was in A View to a Kill with Christopher Walken...
3. who was in The Rundown with Arnold Schwarzenegger (remember, he had a cameo)...
4. who was in True Lies with Tom Arnold.

Um, the tickets haven't been made available yet. They'll start doing the "lottery" or whatever the fuck they're doing on the week of October 1st.

That disc was the first DVD I ever bought. It's a wonderful cultural artifact.

Hell, you don't even need Spice World to get from Meat Loaf to Tom Arnold:

Meat Loaf was in Wayne's World with Robert Patrick
Robert Partrick was in Terminator 2 with Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arnold Schwarzenegger was in True Lies with Tom Arnold

I find this thread even more amusing now that it's turned into a "Six Degrees of Meatloaf" discussion. Mmmmmm..... meatloaf.

And, yes, I couldn't possibly care less about this release either.

The day I put my name in the lottery they had a note up on the site thanking the millions of people who have already signed up. I'm not betting man but I am doubtful my odds are good. Then if I should win I'll need to argue with my wife about the trip and cost which will be just are tough to win.

Just the trip and cost? Nothing about why a grown man wants to see the Spice Girls?

She'd be fine with that as long as I didn't ask her to go along. She was with me the night I bought Spice World on DVD and she remembers my excitement over that purchase as well as I do. She was far more embarrassed than I was.
