Lorelei Gilmore to Work for NBC

Hopefully, moving away from UPN/WB/CW/whatever to a major network will finally give her the exposure she deserves.

My favorite line:

"After having spent so many years representing the frog on The WB, I am especially comforted to be part of the only other network with an animal mascot."

I used to be a big fan of hers, but now I kinda find her more annoying that appealing. If they can build a decent show around her, I'd give it a try.

I remember her when she was on "News Radio" was an efficiency expert.

I used to love Lauren Graham, but I know too fall into the 'she annoys the shit out of me' category... so I'm not exactly cheering, but I'll give any show she's on a shot I guess.

I remember when she, Jenna Elfman and Molly Ringwald were on fX's Breakfast Time ("TV made fresh daily"), plugging their new show Townies.

I'm not a fan of these sorts of talent deals, and I'm pretty skeptical that quality TV will come out of it. It just seems to me that when you start by choosing a personality and designing a show around it, the results aren't as good as when you start with the concept and cast to match the concept. Lauren Graham is damned hot and can act pretty well, but that doesn't mean much if the show they put her in sucks.

With that said, I'm excited at the prospect that this might help her land on something like Heroes, The Office, or 30 Rock for a little stint.
