This show doesn't really look that interesting to me, but I will give it a shot and watch anyway. Not a good buzz on it from what I have heard.

I heard FOX loved Anthony Anderson after his guest stint on The Shield and that's why they gave him this series.

Also, this show is shot entirely on location in New Orleans and the city is benefitting by getting approximately $17M from the production.

I check it out since it's nice to see Cole Hauser get work post Dazed and Confused although I agree that FOX will probably just cancel it after a few weeks like it did with the new shows they had last year.

Finally, someone with a bit of honesty!

I posted this in another thread somewhere, but who is the leggy chick in the commercial that kinda looks like Sarah Silverman? She looks like she might be a lawyer.

I absolutely loathe Anthony Anderson, but believe Hauser has the demeanor to provide his role with an much-needed edge.

That having been said, the constant references to Katrina and things of that nature are going to get real old. Real quick.

EDIT: It's also going to be complete crap. Forgot to mention that.

Has Anthony Anderson always been such a shitty actor? I seem to remember he was good on The Shield.

So far the acting is making this really hard to watch.

I thought it was okay, but definitely down in the viewing priority list for the Monday 9 p.m. EDT timeslot for me (behind Heroes and CBS Monday comedy block).

Started out okay, but the last 15 minutes were completely ridiculous.

* Eeeeeeevil villain speech.
* Ethan Rom running around with an Uzi
* Stupid twist regarding the new parter.

Just out of curiousity, what is the "twist" with the partner?

I've personally given up on the show, but am wondering what they decided to throw in there.

The "twist" was pretty funny. Did the partner really have time to join the army, come back, and become a cop in the 2 years since Katrina? I thought the military had a stop-loss program going on right now.

His partner was a criminal who was in jail when it flooded, allowing him to escape.

Dammit! I was really looking forward to this one. Instead, it's paint by the numbers 70's cop show with a New Orleans backdrop and that embarrassing character twist.

It was an okay start. I liked the locales in New Orleans and I liked Hauser. But, I'm not quite use to seeing Anderson as a cop/husband/father.

I didn't like the plot of the pilot about the singer getting shot and the stupid land deal, but some good action scenes made it entertaining enough.

I would give this a C+

One complaint I have is the promos for this are awful. I can see them turning off lots of potential viewers. My parents thought it looked like some stupid cop comedy.

The woman your referring to is Mileena Govich formerely of Law and Order. She played Jesse L. Martin's partner last season. I read she has a recurring role on this show.
