Some guy is selling a package of call of duty 1,2,&3.

I have a question about call of Duty 3 in the description says (No TITLE with booklet) what does that mean?

Sounds like no title (as in none of the games) has the instruction booklet. I would email the seller though because only he knows for sure what he means.

Well I bid $5 on it before I noticed that. I sent him a email if he doesn't send me an email back telling me what it means. I'm not going to pay for it.

In looking at the description on the auction, it appears as though 1 has the game with no instructions, 2 has the game and instructions, and 3 has the instructions but no game.

Well I'm not going to bid on it anymore. If I do win at least I'll get call of duty 1 and 2 are they worth 10.35?

I think I just found the auction too. They are all PS2 games? The first one has the subtitle "Finest Hour", the second one subtitled "Big Red One", and the third one has no subtitle. I believe when the seller typed "No title with booklet" he meant no subtitle.

Also, I don't know if you are aware of this, but Finest Hour and Big Red One are NOT Call of Duty 1 and 2. The real CoD 1 and 2 have no subtitles. These subtitled games are spin-off games.

Well I hope that's what he means. Well I'm going to go ahead and get them and track down the real COD 1&2 later. I just want some WWII shooters. Thanks for the help guys.

Well this is the email I got back from the guy.
(Call of Duty 1 and 2 have subtitles, Finest Hour and Big Red One. Call of Duty 3 has no subtitle but does include the original instruction booklet (never opened). Sorry for the confusion, Pat (pupdadee).)

So what he meant is that there was no subtitle in the game's actual title? What a silly and confusing thing to put in the auction.

Just so you know, Call of Duty 1 was only released on PC. Call of Duty 2 is only on PC and Xbox360.

Yeah that pissed off a lot of diehard PC gamers. The Call of Duty series started as a PC series, and slowly but gradually became more and more "consolized". Then CoD 3 shows up on every console last-gen and next-gen, but no PC release. That was a slap in the face.

Well it was wasn't made by the Infinity Ward guys and wasn't critically acclaimed either so I doubt there were many PC owners who cared particularly.

There are a lot of PC gamers who didn't care for COD 2 that much either... mostly those who play Tactical or Tactical Realism.

Yeah, the whole "dumbed down for consoles" thing. Rainbow Six: Vegas and GRAW suffered from this too. I loved the first three Rainbow Six games on PC, but Vegas just felt like a typical FPS with big battle after battle. I really missed all the pre-planning stuff too.

Well I won Call of Duty 1,2,3 for the PS2 for $27.85 including shipping and handling.
Was it a good deal?
