It really threw a kink in ACL Fest plans. They cancelled to close to the date (this Saturday) to get another headliner in so now Muse is headlining the biggest night of one of the biggest festivals in the country. I like Muse alright, but they're nowhere near big enough to really justify that spot, IMO.

Does she add more than drumming? I'm sure most drummers with an average ability could learn the songs in 2 days or so. Why not just replace her for the remainder of the tour?

I'm not using my ACL tix now with this and Amy Winehouse. It's not even worth the hassle since those were the two I was looking forward to the most. Only Gotan Project really interested me other than them. plus I am worn out from doing some theatre work. Getting rid of them on Craigslist. I will never buy ACL tix again.

The idea that they should just hire another drummer to complete the tour though goes against the whole idea of why they are a great band. The Raconteurs have proven that Jack White can write songs for another band but it's just not the same. Their dynamic, their chemistry goes a long way into what makes them special.
