DVD Talk review of 'Little Erin Merryweather'
I read Nick Lyons's DVD review of Little Erin Merryweather at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=30260 and...
I just got Little Erin Merryweather on Netflix! I thought this film was so cool. And I have to disagree that the script was poorly constructed. First of all, David Morwick was so good in this film as Peter. Especially since it was a low budget indie and this kid was juggling other roles as writer, director. The girl who played Erin (Vigdais Anholt) scared the holy hell out of me and I thought the woman who played the teacher was one of the best. I did think the script was really creative with a very scary female killer for once. The whole thing with the stones in the stomach and her writing the story book. Of course we knew who the killer was. It wasn't a "whodunit". I get tired of those Scooby Doo endings. We know who the killer is in Friday the 13th! etc. In terms of them shutting down the school, it took them two days to shut down Virginia Tech! This is a horror movie, lighten up!! I absolutely loved it.
