I usually start out every season thinking there's no way I'll ever be able to watch everything I hope to.

My boredom with many of the pilots and the ratings for the others usually thins the herd quite a bit.

I'm going to try and cut back on fall TV viewing this year. But always willing to check on shows that get some good initial buzz.

My God there's a lot of TV-watching in here.

Mine is simple and easy:

Monday - football
Tuesday - nothing
Wednesday - nothing
Thursday - The Office, and football
Friday - nothing
Saturday - football
Sunday - football

I catch what I can when I can; I don't DVR things because chances are if I don't have time the first go around, I won't later on.

In case any of you have time conflicts with any of NBC's programs, it appears that several shows are being re-broadcasted on NBC's sister cable stations:

it won't kill you if you DVR the new shows and don't watch them for a month or two, wait it out and see what shows survive

I work almost 50 hours a week and I somehow manage to keep up with 30+ shows per season....the DVR is a godsend. Most of my viewing comes around the 10pm or 11pm hour after I get home from work. I actually work in sports TV and the last thing I want to see when I get home is a game...watching a compelling drama/serial relaxes me after a long day.

Amount of time, professor. Amount of time.

I don't watch anything 3 days/week, and probably catch a game or two on the weekends depending on what's going on.

Saturday College Football viewing can go from early morning 9am all the way to primetime 8 or 9pm......That's alot of football viewing in 1 day.

I've seen guys watch games on their FSN Regions, switch to ESPN, ESPN Plus, ABC, NBC, CBS non-stop all day and watch games.

College football starts at 9am? Not where I live.

Plus I don't sit at my TV and watch football all day. As I just said, I'll probably catch a game a day on the weekends. If it's Saturday, I watch UGA. If UGA is at home, I'm at the game in person. On Sundays, I watch the night game.

I've definitely been guilty of that. Did it this past Saturday. It's just not typical.

I live on the West Coast and the College Football Saturday pregame show on FSN usually starts at 9am.

But, staying on the topic of this thread, sports fans can sit and watch just as much TV as fans of TV shows.

Damn that is a whole day of football then. I'm east coast, so I guess ESPN starts at 10 or 10:30, games at noon until midnight.

Anyway, sorry to take away from this thread. I'll go back to my football corner.

That's a slippery slope! I'm recording most stuff on Tivo HD which only hold 20 hours of HD broadcasting. So I'll have to be watching everything on that weekly... but at least I save up to 45 min a night skipping through the commercials instead of sitting through whole programs like I did in the spring!

I forgot about Sarah Connor Chronicles! What network/time is that on on Sunday? Oh I see - it doesn't start until January! Phew!

Just remember that any new show you like will be cancelled after two episodes. That always cuts my viewing.

I'm locked into Bionic Woman because life is short and because Michelle Ryan is hot. Other than that, I haven't committed to any new shows.

The sad thing is that many of these shows, whether they are good or not, won't survive the year or even the mid-season. I seem to end up watching the same amount of programming from year to year

Haven't looked at the schedule, so I'm not sure about conflicts.

I'll try:
Bionic Woman (I enjoyed the pilot at comicon)

and maybe a couple of others, depending on the pilot. But last year, we lost:
Gilmore Girls
Veronica Mars
half a season of Jericho

so there's a few open slots.
