Tokyo Game Show 2007 is two weeks away (it starts no September 20th). The big news (for me) is that the next installment of Kingdom Hearts will be revealed. Enough hints have been given that it's likely to be a prequel or side game on a portable system (DS) starring Mickey through his adventure in the world of darkness concurrent to Sora's first adventure.

Generally, Nintendo fans and/or fans of Japanese games will probably have a lot of good things to look forward to. The Wii is poised to become THE system where a lot of good, non-mainstream Japanese style games are going to land due to it's low development costs and market penetration (it's also going to be, or already is, a dumping ground for the same reasons, sigh).

But we'll start off with one bigger names.. Square-Enix.

No, I don't have a PS3. The next console Kingdom Hearts will probably be on the Wii as that's where the primary audience for the game will be. If they want to go the HD route anyway, I'd imagine they would make it a dual-platform release. The Last Remnant is probably their litmus test for a dual-platform strategy.

While I'm sure that KH3 will be a Wii title let's, for argument's sake, assume they want to go HD. Would BV/Disney's movie relationship with BR force it to the PS3 or would that have no impact on S-E's decision?

Ninja Gaiden 2 is rumored to appear.

I'm hoping Microsoft ups their game at the show, maybe they can unveil Blue Dragon 2 and help Square-Enix hype up the 360 release of The Last Remnant. Given their track record though, their booth will probably be Halo 3, Gears of War and Call of Duty 4 (and some tumbleweeds).

Well last year they were highlighting Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey so you never know. It would be nice to see more evidence of Japanese software support again this year.

The show doesn't even start for another 8-9 days. I haven't seen anything leak about KH3 like that NG2 stuff did.

Is this a Rocket Slime sequel? I hope it is, since I enjoyed the first one quite a bit. I'm not really a JRPG guy, so the rest of the Square Enix list doesn't mean much to me.
