Best Season of "Stargate SG-1"...
It is peculiar that an average sci-fi adventure movie from way, way back in 1994 was successfully adapted into a overly long running, inexorably formulaic, yet surprisingly watchable and likable TV series. But at what point in it's decade long existence was Stargate SG-1 at it's very best? In my mind the high point of this show was towards the end of the slightly patchy Season One, up until around Season Four to Five (I've got Season Three and Four on DVD this week).
After that, I gradually lost interest in SG-1 - but I was lucky enough to catch "Lost City" and did not mind Season Eight (even though much of the charm, wit and originality of the first four or five seasons was gone by then, despite the improved production values and bigger space battles).
But what was the best all round series of SG-1?

Season 4 always sticks out in my mind, with 3 close behind.
I probably stand alone, but I also loved season 6 with Corin Nemic. It brought the show back to its 'exploring' roots when the show was getting very heavy into all military. Not to mention, like Cancer Man, by the end of season 5 the show was getting quite redundant so changing things up really spiced up the show for me.
I wasn't a fan of season 8 other than the finale. Probably the best episode of the series run.
I'm about halfway through season 10 and like 9 it has been pretty solid. Browder, Bridges and Black have really added something fresh to the show, much like Nemic in season 6. I especially enjoy the banter and chemistry between Vala and Daniel.
A shame the show has ended. I felt it could go on for quite some time. Atlantis is decent, but even with all the cast changes in its parent show, SG-1 is still a far better experience. I know Tapping is set to join Atlantis, but I hope we see Michael Shanks again this season of 24, maybe with a larger role since Stargate has ended.

Tough question! Don't know that I could pick one since each season from 1-5 had so many standout episodes but I'll pick Season 2. Even though the show did become a little weaker, I still loved it right up to the end.
