With the obvious exceptions of exclusives, I'm trying to wait for complete series sets on most TV now.

But this show is so good I actually have all the individual seasons already......

One of the best series ever, if you're ok with adult material and are on the fence at all, don't hesitate. This series is right up there with Homicide and other best of all time TV.

I wish I knew about this deal a year ago. I have already picked up the first 4 seasons and just need the last 2. Unbelievably good show. One thing for sure is that HBO has the best original programming. Sopranos, Six Feet Under, The Wire, Oz, Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Mr. Show are all top notch.

I still wish they'd come out with a clear plastic rotating pod (complete with bed, sink and toilet bowl) containing all the discs in the center. It'll never happen though.

Which is why everyone who has ever thought about wanting to see or get this show should do so immediately. HBO's best show, my favorite show. I've seen most of it at least twice, and the pilot countless times, introducing it to numerous people.

You could always delay the shipping on the set by adding a future release to your order (i.e. in december), and, in the meantime, it will sit in your Open Orders until the pre-release is ready to ship.

If you want it anytime sooner, just cancel the future release, and it should be sent accordingly. I used this on previous gold box deals; just don't forget to keep an eye on your orders, and don't forget to use the free shipping option, either!

For me, I will pass on this one. I find nothing appealing about a drama about life in prison. There doesn't seem to be any redeeming quality about this kind of drama. Plus, I was reading some reviews about this show by some brits over at amazon.uk and apparently there is this guy in the wheelchair who shows up frequently in the show spouting off some kind of wisdom that a lot of people find annoying. Well if it is your cup of tea, then get it.

I do that trick but it doesn't always work. I have found they will often ship stuff I have paired with future releases earlier than expected-seperate from the pre-order release.. I think they don't want to give you the opportunity to cancel the order at some future date if you happen to stumble on a better price or change your mind.
They frequently do it to me.

The reason I stretch my 4:3 images is due to image retention issues on my plasma. Watching 4:3 programs for 8hrs or more per day over the weekend is asking for trouble on a widescreen. Hek, we're even talking about 12hrs even per day because I stick 5 DVDs into my DVD changer and let it run.

Now, some people probably don't have a problem with it, but I want the option to stretch a 4:3 image. I don't particularly like black bars on the left and right embedded in the video transfer. I mean really, what were these idiots thinking. I think I just might ask them.
