Love the band..But there is that 1 song...

You love there music, most likely own all of there cd's, but there is that one song by them that you hate..For me it's..

AC/DC - You shook me all night long
Aerosmith - Janies got a gun
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Def Leppard - Pour some sugar on me
Godsmack - Voodoo
Gun's N Roses - Sweet child o' mine
Billy Idol - Mony Mony
Judas Priest - Breaking the law
Kiss - 2 songs.. Rock and roll all night - - Detroit rock city
Metallica - I Disappear
No Doubt - Don't Speak
Ratt - Round and Round
Van Halen - Finish what Ya started

I absolutely love these bands but i have to change the station when one of these songs comes on.

I understand what you are going for, I just threw in my edits from the ones you mentioned:

AC/DC - Money Talks
Aerosmith - I Don't Want To Miss a Thing
Black Sabbath - Paranoid (i can't think of a bad one from the ozzy days, so i'll leave this alone)
Def Leppard - Love Bites
Godsmack - Voodoo (agreed)
Gun's N Roses - November Rain
Billy Idol - Mony Mony (Agreed)
Judas Priest - Breaking the law (another can't think of a horrible tune, so i will leave it)
Kiss - Beth
Metallica - I Disappear (very true)
No Doubt - anything
Van Halen - Finish what Ya started (also true, with a bunch more)

They Might Be Giants - I've got nearly everything by them and there's only two songs I consistently skip over:

Mr. Xcitement
Wicked Little Critta
Both from the album Mink Car (their weakest, IMO)

I also love everything by Siouxsie and the Banshees but always felt "Oh, Baby" was trite and a disappointing single to end their career on.

And add:

Queensryche: Silent Lucidity (ignoring all albums Chris DeGarmo was not a part of)

Black Sabbath - Paranoid (Don't hear it enough to dislike it)
Def Leppard - Pour some sugar on me (I don't like any of their songs)
Godsmack - Voodoo (see Def Leppard)
Gun's N Roses - Sweet child o' mine (less of this and more Mr. Brownstone)

Judas Priest - Breaking the law (fun in limited amounts
No Doubt - Don't Speak (played out, "Sunday Morning" is still my all time fav ND song)
I love older (pre-reformation) KMFDM but I refuse to ever listen to the song "Witness" ever again. A song about alien invaders and being probed in the ass really doesn't fit in with *ANY* of their songs.

"Bend over, surrender" ugh....it should've been an instrumental.

Metallica: "Nothing Else Matters"
Nirvana: "Come As You Are" (besides being a horrible song, is also a direct note for note ripoff of "Life Goes On" by the Damned)

For now I'll go with "High and Dry" by Radiohead and "Song 2" by Blur.

As I recall, the buzz at the time was that Killing Joke claimed copyright infringement of their song, "Eighties," which has a similar (albeit slower) bassline. But after dusting off my Strawberries LP, the similarity between the basslines in "Life Goes On" and "Come As You Are" is uncanny. Not sure that it's a ripoff, though, as the riff is a pretty simple one to pick out....

I actually like both these songs, in a lukewarm kind of way. The Bowie song that truly gives me the shakes is his wretched, wretched cover of "Dancing In The Streets."

Another good nomination. God that song is annoying. Never heard the Cherone album, but I'm pretty sure I'd still take anything off that album over Jump.

To me I don't hate the following songs, but I've heard them so much that I am sick of them and could live the rest of my life never hearing again. Especially since the bands have vast catalogs and nobody plays anything else.

AC/DC : You Shook Me All Night Long
Judas Priest : You Got Another Thing Coming
Iron Maiden : Run To The Hills
Ozzy Osbourne : Crazy Train
Alice Cooper : School's Out

There are some awesome songs being listed as hated songs, like Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), Tempted (Squeeze), and Paranoid (Black Sabath).

Anyway, the one song that I despise by a band I otherwise love is...

Roxanne - The Police.
