Matthew Good "Hospital Music"
Not sure how many Matt Good(formerly the Matthew Good Band) fans are here since outside of Canada i dont think hes that well known.Anyway this alum came out about a month ago and ive been listening ot it alot on my ipod as of late and i think its amazing and maybe his best since going solo even over Avalanche.Very mellow and moody since alot of it deals with him being bi-polar and his divorce.
Oh and its killing me on the single Born Losers as to who does the backing vocals towards the end of the song right after the little bridge/interlude.I was sure who it was and even a friend of mine right away said the same person so if anyone wants to listen(and its a great song) and tell me who they think it is its just past the 4 minute mark:
Oh and the vids for the song were done by fans so this is one of the better ones:

This album is an excellent return to form, though, as I really do not like his previous solo work (but love most of MGB's output, particularly the later releases).

I'll have to give it another chance, because on a first few listens, I found it to be pretentious, self important and kind of plodding...but I actually liked BOTH solo records before this (and of course the MGB stuff)...
although maybe this album has partially been 'tainted' by personal experience for me - since the release of his last solo record I had a chance to meet Matthew Good and he was a total douchebag. Maybe I'll try to shut that out and give it another listen.
