Never dealt with these guys before, but this is a helluva price. List is $49.92....$35-$38 at the usual online stores.

Not many reviews (or even recent ones) but I'll probably avoid this deal based on what I've read. Very tempting price though. :(

I wonder what this is for $4.99? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=15796658&st=stanwyck&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1672584

Hmmm...looks like it may be the same thing, based on release date.

Watch yourselves guys; there's also a 'Barbara Stanwyck Signature Collection' coming from PD specialists St Clair Entertainment October 9 (same date as DVD BO listing), see...

http://www.amazon.ca/Barbara-Stanwyck-Signature-Collection/dp/B000UL61JI/ref=pd_bowtega_1/701-4489956-9768345?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1188502998&sr=1-1

The Warner set is being released in Canada Oct. 30 according to Amazon.ca. Wouldn't be the first time that a PD outfit has pulled a stunt like this to trap the unwary.

Yeah, Googling the UPC brings up the St. Clair set. Thanks for the warning, John.

The UPC at BB? I don't see a UPC in their pre-order.

Thanks! I think I'll take a chance on the BB pre-order. They are easy to cancel pre-orders, right?

Crossing fingers that BB will only be carrying the non-PD version......

dvdboxoffice is not very reliable. they never have stock, real time stock indicators are a lie. They might ship it eventually, If you order and wait & wait. If you try to get an estimate on stock status, they claim there is NO WAY to find out. So order at your own risk. you might get it, or you might not.

I think we already determined that the "deal" dvdboxoffice has in the first post is the public domain version that can be found as cheap as $2.30 elsewhere.

So even without your warning, I hope no one buys it from there.

Doh! Can't believe I didn't think to do a simple search. Thanks. Canceled my pre-order.
