Not a bad deal. I read that they're getting rid of the file cabinet packaging for the future, so this price might have to do with that.

I also received an email from them stating that if you used a Mastercard and spent over $100 you would get a $20 Gift Card in return (I'm assuming for future purchases)

Doing a quick search on Google, various sites have a $5 coupon off a $50 purchase.

Looks like you already purchased, but if you spend 11$ more and use a mastercard, you get free shipping and a 20$ gift card, that seems like a better way to go. (as DVDmagic pointed out)

If the sale is still on, and anyone is on the fence, Homicide is a truly excellent series, one of the best ever on TV imho.

Unfortunately (fortunately in most cases) I don't have a Mastercard. I just have my Amazon Visa and would like to keep it that way to simplify my burden of credit. I ordered the series last night and I'm looking forward to getting into it.

Picked up the Homicide set and Kids In The Hall S2.
Just over $100, free shipping, and a $20 gift card.

Thanks!

I just wish I could get the bonus disc that was exclusive to the set. Considering that it was more than the typical bonus features (it has part 1 of three 2 part episodes), it's a shame that this is the only way to acquire it. I already have everything else and I'm not buying it again for one disc.

I got my file cabinet set off Half.com brand new and sealed for $88 including shipping, try there if you want the whole package once this A&E thing dies.

I used a Mastercard, and received my $20 gift certificate this morning. Any suggestions for good deals over there right now?

No, actually the 20% off sale followed the A+E B1G1 sale and they took the Homicide set out of stock for the entirety of the 20% sale.

I bought my set during the last DD 20% sale. You could not find it with the normal search but one of our DVD Talkers posted the link to the set on the sale thread! And it worked, helluva deal.
