Need advice on what to watch next...
Well I'm at a loss for what tv show to watch next. I breeze by them rather quickly as I watch while on the train to work each day. Any advice out there on if I'm missing a great show??
Shows I've seen or am in the middle of:
Friends, Nip/Tuck, Curb, Seinfeld, The Shield, Extras, The Wire (the best show ever), Sopranos, Lost, Heroes, Quantum Leap, Buffy, Angel, Rescue Me, CSI Vegas, Damages, Weeds, The West Wing, Battlestar Galactica, ST-TNG, ST-DS9, The 4400, Sunny in Philadelphia, and Six Feet Under (on season 1 and can't wait for the much praised series finale)
Haven't seen:
Babylon 5
Twin Peaks (had the killer spoiled though..)
Veronica Mars
Arrested Development
Oz
Mork or Dead Zone (heard the quality has taken a dive recently)
???

Friday Night Lights comes out on DVD today. I can't recommend it enough as it is one of the most intelligently scripted and acted shows on TV. Even if you don't like football, the show is really an arguably honest portrayal of small town America.
$20 buck for 22 episodes of top quality TV is a heck of a bargain.

Coming from someone who also loves TNG and DS9 you should really try FARSCAPE . Dethroned DS9 as my favorite scifi series ever.
Also didn't see you mention Lost or 24 .

From your list of haven't seen, I would go with Twin Peaks. Laura's killer is revealed at the end of the short first season. Season 2 is a lot of fun and you're spoiler free to watch it.

Looking at your list, I see we have very similar tastes, and I too would be tempted to proclaim The Wire as the best show ever. My gut reaction is to immediately recommend Babylon 5 to anyone who hasn't seen it, but as I scan your list, it appears to be a perfect choice for you specifically. If you love The Wire, then you're patient and can appreciate long-developing complex plots with flawed and realistic characters. B5 is very much like that, but science fiction, and it's a more epic and intense cousin of Deep Space Nine (also on your list). In the land of "missing a great show", this is probably on the top.
On the comedy side, go with Arrested Development. If you like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, you'll probably appreciate the style of humor.
People who like Buffy seem to like Veronica Mars.
Monk might be an OK choice for train viewing, although it doesn't really need to be seen in order and hasn't been that good in its latter years, so you may as well just catch it on USA every now and then. As for The Dead Zone, I feel dumber for having watched it as long as I did.

Babylon 5 - watched them all, was okay.
Veronica Mars - watched it all recently, far better than I expected.
Arrested Development - one of the best comedies in recent years.
Mork - is okay, usually sits the longest on my tivo, the last 3 eps are currently unwatched.
Dead Zone - quality has dived big-time. The last episode had a huge global warming speach. I ended up fast-fowarding thru much of that episode.
I just started watching Hustle (bbc), and am finding it very interesting.
And, I will second Alias, but only thru the first 2 1/2 seasons. Then it slides off the cliff in quality.

Thanks everyone for the quick replies and das for the indepth profile! I seem to have forgotten some actually.. I've seen 24 (what a crapfest lately) and Entourage and Lost is in the list that I've seen.
I saw one vote for Farscape...anyone else have thoughts on that?

Well since someone already said my favorite show, Scrubs, I’ll say give Dexter a try. It’s no Six Feet Under but Michael C. Hall puts on another top-notch performances & if you’re sick of the typical ‘CBS Crime Dramas’ but still enjoy Crime Dramas, give Dexter a try.

This just reminded me of someone else at my job who was asking me for Sci-Fi recommendations. I gave him B5 first, he didn't like it. Then I gave him Farscape, and he didn't like it either. What did he prefer? Shows like Voyager. I stopped talking to him.

I'd watch the first three probably in that order. The first two since they're short series that only lasted a season.
#1: Firefly then Firefly movie, Serenity
#2: Freaks & Geeks
#3: Veronica Mars
Alias
Dexter
Smallville
Supernatural
Dark Angel
Family Guy
Futurama
South Park
Malcolm in the Middle
My Name Is Earl
Xena
Highlander
Hercules
You seen The X-Files? If not, shame on you.

I'd still suggest Babylon 5 first, since it seems to more closely match what you've listed, but you can't go wrong with Farscape. The previously mentioned Firefly seems a likely candidate as well.
