Fraggle Rock Season 3 DVD (and CD set coming too!)
Hello all,
I hadn't seen a thread dedicated to the third season of Fraggle Rock, so I thought I'd start one here.
The next-to-last season comes out on September 11th and has all 24 episodes on four discs. Like the first two seasons, the set also contains both a fifth disc full of all-new bonus material and a booklet reproduction. The booklet this go-around will be a 50+ collection of Michael K. Frith's original artwork sketches. He served as the designer of the series (his drawings were those found in the pitch book from S2).
Frith, Tim Miller (Muppet workshop supervisor) and Kathy Mullen (Mokey Fraggle and Cotterpin Doozer) are also among the new interviewees that HIT has dug up for the interview portions of the bonus disc.
Also, coming October 30th is the first ever 3-CD collection of Fraggle music! This should be, simply, an awesome collection. I have the CD made in ’93, and if that's any indication then three discs full of (hopefully) new-to-CD songs will rock!
Check out my early review of Season 3 on Amazon:

Here’s more info on S3:

And here’s more info on the CD set, of which details are few at the moment:

Did the show run for 5 years but only have 4 seasons? The review said one more box set and Traveling Matt said next to last season for 3. Cant wait to get a hold of 3. Loved the first two boxed sets.

The Muppet NewsFlash has the details on the CD set. It's apparently a re-issue of the three previously released (but of course, long out-of-print) albums Fraggle Rock, Perfect Harmony and Music and Magic.
http://muppetnewsflash.blogspot.com/...d-details.html
HIT is making these CDs specifically for the fans, with each disc an exact reissue of its original, classic album. That's why some tracks are repeated.

Koch now has a page up on their website for the "Fraggle Rockin" CD set:
http://www.kochentertainment.com/fragglerock.htm
"In 1983 Jim Henson introduced us the magical world of Fraggle Rock. Featuring a cast of Muppet creatures called Fraggles, with music by Philip Balsam and Dennis Lee, it became an immediate world-wide hit and today it is a pop-culture icon. Fraggle Rock had quirky characters and funny stories, and the music was happy and infectious. It was a colorful and fun-filled world that featured a complex system of puppets, including Fraggles, Doozers, Gorgs, and even a talking trash heap that were all part of story lines filled with allegories intended to entertain and educate children. And, as with all things Henson it contained MUSIC, lots and lots of wonderful music. Most episodes featured two or three original songs. The music was key to every episode, with the Fraggles often breaking into song. This 3-Disc Collector’s Edition contains all 3 original albums, wonderfully re-mastered & packed in one digi-pack set, with rarely seen photos and contributions from the original composers. Fans and collectors of all ages will be ready to dance their cares away…down at Fraggle Rock."

Travelling Matt signs up for an account and every post is in this thread. Dude's either a Fraggle Rock superfan or a crafty shill.
Either way, reminds me I still haven't picked up season 2.
