I must be getting really bad at the internet, because I must not be seeing what you're seeing.... ????

An Ullman view and Futurama Alien subtitles would've been interesting.
Does this really come out on the 27th though? I hope so, then I can pick it up while getting the Futurama movie.

I'm looking forward to a release as much as anyone. I hope the date is true!

I'm trying to figure that out as well. It was posted over at JoBlo.com, with no mention of it not being true, or anything in the link being a joke...so now I'm confused

the Simpsons are known to take potshots at themselves, but read the mainpage... it's actually an anti-Simpsons website, and then you see what could be perceived as ribbing in the features is actually shitting

I know, but it's the date being reported over on JoBlo...Spiderman 2 and Shrek 2 were released on Fridays, and Mission Impossible 3 came out on a Monday, so it's not impossible...

I found this on the main rubbercat.net page:
If you are a BIG NERD you might be interested in this. A friend over at Fox Home Entertainment faxed me over a press release listing all the features that are going to be on The Simpsons Movie DVD, as well as some preliminary artwork, after some mild threatening on my part. For your convenience, I've put them all on a webpage here: http://rubbercat.net/simpsons/dvd.html. Of particular interest is the list of deleted scenes; while this list is currently incomplete (more may be added in the coming months), it is the most concise list currently publicly available anywhere. Please note that since the DVD is currently a work in progress, some of the features are subject to change.

i'm guessing this is a joke... though a movie 18 years in the making would lend itself to some extreme 7-disc edition... considering the huge cultural phenomenon that is the simpsons, it would be AMAZING to see something over-the-top like this. would someone really go to the trouble of making all this stuff up? well, at the very least, i'm sure the DVD will be a packed two-disc edition if the season sets are any indication of the quality they'll strive for. unless there's a barebones movie-only release and then a prolonged special edition a year later. though i would hope they don't do something like that.

I’ll be watching it in ‘Half Screen’, seeing the whole picture is overrated.
I know that release information is complete bullsh*t but if that really was the DVD release of The Simpsons: Movie & hopefully the show will be cancelled by 2011, that would be one kick-ass Motherfu*king DVD!!!

Damn, I was really hoping to hear the Rupert Murdoch commentary! This would have been the greatest DVD set ever. As it stands, I'm sure the expected release will still be pretty damn packed.
