My favorite scene in all of cinema comes at the beginning of Taxi Driver.

(Honorable mention to the scene from Vertigo in the redwood forest when she's like "Somewhere in here I was born - and there I died. It was only a moment for you. You took no notice." and also to the scene from The Third Man with the ferris wheel/"dots"/"cuckoo clock" speech.)

This is the Taxi Driver scene, it's a very simple scene...nothing bombastic:

Hoho, I found the Muir Woods scene from Vertigo! Didn't think it was on youtube, I've looked before. Another scene that definitely deserves mention from this movie is the "transformation" scene of her in the hotel with the green lighting...my god what an amazing movie Vertigo was.
