What classic treasures will Warner Bros give us next?

What vintage titles are Warner Bros digitally remastering for our future delectation?

I don't know. I don't work for Warner Brothers. Knowing the WB, something good.

I know it's morbid, but I'm hoping Antonini's death brings Zabriskie Point to DVD.

That's not morbid at all, WB just released a shitload of Elvis movies to coincide with the 30th anniversary of his death!

I'm most excited about Warner's 2008 output. From the 2007 Warner chat:

Heat, The Magnificent Ambersons (new elements), How the West Was Won, Eastwood reissues, Falling Down SE, and a few others.

This year seemed light although Poltergeist is due to be announced any minute, if it hasn't already.

I *strongly* hope that Warner Bros. stops farting around with us, and starts releasing films from their silent catalogue. I remember being promised more titles early this year, and so far, we haven't seen a thing.

King Vidor deserves a box just as much as Kubrick and Scorsese.

"The Crowd" has been my most wanted DVD for over three years now.

Just give me anything! Anything will do! Just do it soon! I am excited about the Shakespeare set, but dissapointed at the half ass DVD cases with poor dual art on the film noir 4. How cheap looking...

The Magnificent Ambersons

This title getting released is a myth like the Criterion version of Bottle Rocket

That makes two of us. They're beginning to irritate me by showing absolutely no effort in this area for at least two years. I mean, when was the last time Warner released a silent? In the Garbo set?

I hope I don't have to wait 30 years for 'Zabriskie Point' on DVD!

I wonder what the chances are of getting All Through the Night and Passage to Marseille as stand alone releases.

I'd also like to see The Walking Dead, The Beast With Five Fingers and the black and white version of Doctor X.

This from DVD Beaver's main page, under upcoming classic releases:
"Forbidden Hollywood: Volume 2 (six films plus pre-Code documentary), Gangsters Collection: Volume 2 (Picture Snatcher/Lady Killer/Smart Money/The Mayor of Hell/others), Joan Crawford Collection Volume 2 (Flamingo Road/Strange Cargo/Torch Song/others), The Lana Turner Collection, Lon Chaney Collection Volume 2 (The Unholy Three/The Unholy Three/Tell It to the Marines/He Who Gets Slapped/Tod Browning doc.)"

Was hoping to see both versions of Unholy Three together. Glad a Tod Browning documentary is included as well - he never seems to get his due. Good news on the number of titles in the Forbidden Hollywood set- the last one was rather underwhelming.

I'd like to see these 2 classics on DVD: No Time for Sergeants & Hot To Trot and I'd be happy!

OK maybe one of these isn't a classic but I still want it!

I'll back you on "No Time For Sergeants" at least...
Seriously, this is my #1 most-wanted movie of all time currently.

Not a damn thing. We'll have to buy them, as usual.
