(DEAD) Star Wars Episode 1 - Phantom Menace ONE CENT @ Amazon!

Tagline says it all...more likely than not a price mistake, but hey, I jumped on it...also noticed a version of the Searchers for a cent, so there might be more out there waiting to be discovered. Phantom Menace is already on the Top 100 list, so if it is a price mistake, won't be out there too long.

Too bad I already have it.

I have a $25 Amazon gift certificate. I should order 2500 of them and sell them on ebay.

You think. I already have it, so I'll pass. I also don't want Amazon haunting me for the next 6 months. Good luck to all that take the plunge.

Noob question: If it turns out to be a price mistake, how does Amazon usually handle them?

They will usually catch it and cancel the order. However, December 23, 2006 will be a day that will go down in infamy. They had a BOGO sale on some TV sets. There was a glitch that gave both sets for free. Amazon shipped out the orders and then attempted to charge customers(without authorization) more than a month later for their mistake. Some people are still having issues with Amazon over this situation. There was quite a moral debate on this site that lasted for months!

Yeah, but it's 10 copies per order!

I wouldn't touch this deal with a ten foot pole. Heck, as a matter of fact I haven't bought a single thing from Amazon since the BOGO fiasco.

I got one. It's "shipping very soon."

Free shipping too, bundled this with Dexter S1 and they shipped this out seperately.

Honestly don't give a damn if they cancel this though.
