JVC XV-S500 question

Hi. After having not used my modified DVD player, I have plugged it back in so that I can watch my DVDs from other regions. Unfortunately, I have forgotten how to change the region (the auto-detect is not working either). Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I have a JVC and mine works as follows: Turn the player off. Press desired region on remote control. 2 for region 2 and so on. After pressing the number press the enter button on the remote. The player turns on, changes the region and turns back off. Turn in back on and it should be the region you picked.

Region Switching instructions

If you bought the player from us, or someone who uses our modification, try this:

1. Turn the player on via remote
2. Turn the player off using the remote (the player will be in standby mode)
3. Press the number for the desired region code (0 for all regions)
4. Press ENTER
5. The plyer will turn on, show old region, switch to new region automatically and power off. After 1 second, the player should turn on again by itself. The new region has been set.

Best,
Kevin
