While somewhat interesting to see the top vote-getters, there's no reason to limit yourself to this list of 200. Type in any movie & vote for it. (One of my most wanted titles, Wild, Wild Planet, only has 20 votes.)

I voted for my list of movies last year, El Condor , Rio Conchos, and one that was released since I voted, Broken Arrow ( 1950, Jimmy Stewart ) so no need to vote agian, besides they won't let me vote twice anyway.

I voted for Song of the South. I know that a lot of movies on that list deserve it more, but I feel like its absence from really widens social gaps more than bridging them.

Yeah, I picked up a R2 Johnny Guitar. I still want to see it hit R1. And Notorious and Rebecca were both out here in R1 for a good amount of time.

I don't get it. Haven't these already been released on DVD? I have copies of Notorious and Rebecca already.

Isn't that site affiliated with Warner? I'm not sure voting for other studios' titles would do anything.

will people PLEASE vote for midnight? This is one of the greatest screwballs comedies ever with Claudette Colbert and Don Ameche. Have NO idea why this film isn't more popular!! it's at the bottom of the list!!!!!!!

here is the IMDB link - 8.1 rating -->http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0031647/

thanks a lot to the OP PopcornTreeCt...

i didn't know about this and am glad i do now...

i have been wanting a release of 'Strange Cargo'...

so i voted 'Strange Cargo'...

i do searches for it a lot on amazon... some film companies collect those searches...

sent emails to MGM/UA... they did the VHS...

that would make my year if that came out on DVD...

how cool is TCM?...

Yes, but Notorious and Rebecca have gone oop and are now very rare. And I believe that their only release was through Criterion. As for The Magnificent Ambersons, I don't think it was ever released on R1 dvd.

I'll go with what most have been saying with Notorious, Rebecca and Spellbound. As far as I'm concerned they're not obtainable for most people so they might as well have never been released. Good call on whoever said The Picture of Dorian Gray. I haven't seen it but I really want to. I'd have added the African Queen but I own it on Region 2.

I understand people wanting these re-released, but they are not 'very rare' as some have suggested. Ebay is coughing up Notorious as cheap as $12 and the other two (Rebeeca and Spellbound) are going for $30 each. I think I paid almost $40 for each so it's not like they can't easily be obtained.

Save your votes for never released films, IMO.

Agreed with Kerborus. The Best Man (never released) with Henry Fonda doesn't even make the list, but Notorious (which I still see readily online on Amazon and in many stores) does? Something seems rotten in Denmark.

Not entirely true. By the time the auctions end, those $12 strating bids for Notorious/Spellbound average about $55 and Rebecca fetches anywhere from $75-100 or more. Trust me. I've been keeping an eye on them for an opportunity for a cheap buy. If you can direct me to somewhere that I could purchase them for the prices you suggest, please do.

I do appreciate your argument, though, that never-released films deserve the nod before OOP-films.

What sucks about Rebecca is there no way a release could match or top the OOP Criterion double-disc release... and there's no way I can afford it either.

But still, my votes are for:

Rebecca
The Magnificent Ambersons
The African Queen
