I thought this would be a good counter part to the shows you thought you'd hate but now enjoy thread.
I thought I'd get a kick out of Eureka. I love the premise, but I just cannot get into the show.
I thought I'd like Mad Men, but that's another show I just cannot get into. In fact, now that I type this post I realize episode two was on last night. I totally forgot all about it.

For me, this would be X-Files. I just never could get into it. In fact, I found it really boring. But I had so many friends who were absolutely obsessed with this show. They tried so many times to get me into it. I don't know what it was. I loved Millenium though.

The biggest one would have to be Farscape. I barely got through season two, and haven't put another disc at the top of my Netflix queue in over a year. I doubt I'll ever finish it.

John from Cincinnati....I thought the pilot was okay, but dropped it after episode 2. The Butchie character is an idiot and I don't know what the heck John is supposed to be....When he talked about taking a "hernous" dump and a dump that a man would be proud of...I said that's enough for me.

"Monk"
It started with the "new girl" sidekick.
There was some sexual tension building with the "old girl" sidekick...and then she was, it seems, written off the show.
Time has born out that the show has lost "something"...but I think it started here.

The Odd couple
I never saw the show (wasn't born yet) when it originally aired but when season 1 was released on DVD in store i decided to blind buy it & it turn out to be one of the most boring comedies I have every seen, Didn't laugh once. Definitly my worst blind buy ever.
I guess when compared to Seinfeld, Scrubs, Newradio, etc... it just isn't the laugh tickler that i was hoping for. I wasn't expecting laugh out loud funny or anything but their are much better comedies from that era & I can actually see why it wasn't a huge ratings grabber, cause in my opinion (& in my opinion only) it really isn't that good of a TV show. Alot of people would probally think otherwise.

One I thought I might like was The Black Donnelys. Wow, was I wrong. Poorly written, poorly acted and cliched every chance it got.
One I used to like but now think is pretty much shit is Nip/Tuck. The first two seasons were gold, 3rd season slipped a bit but was pretty good, S4 was pretty f'in bad. I hope they get this back on track with S5 this fall.

As for the OPs question, for me it is Babylon 5. I had high expectations and kept waiting for it to get better (almost everyone says to just get through the 1st and then it is just so great) but I just never got into it and stopped after the big even in Season 4 since event fans say season 5 isn't good.

Eureka kinda died fast for me...
I really enjoyed "Big Love" last summer, but this summers its kinda flat...
And Of course I loved "7th Heaven" durring seasons 3-6, but then couldn't take it anymore.

I eagerly anticipated Heroes all throughout the summer. I made it through half of the first episode.
Agreed with On the Lot I loved project Greenlight, but his show is nauseatingly bad. Brett Ratner doesn't help.

Friday Night Lights
Loved the book, even enjoyed the movie. I'm also a big football fan. Some good characters and writing, but hated that the show became a teen soap drama that went for the lowest common denominator.

Dark Angel - Yeah Jessica Alba is hot, but I couldn't stomach the cliches and horrendous writing. For James Cameron to be involved, I expected so much more...

I have a love/hate relationship with Scrubs
Some others:
Rome
Seinfeld
On The Lot (Fox turned it into some American Idol crap)
House
My Name is Earl
Lost
Heroes

In my defense, I've never been a big comic book guy. If Heroes has a lot of great elements that Comic book fans see, they most likely would have gone right over my head.
