Question about the Nintendo Wii?

If I'm going to download games from the virtual console, can I download several straight onto my Wii? Or do I need to get a memory card or something similar? I'm sorry if this has been covered but I didn't see the answer by searching and there's quite a few older games I want to get off the virtual console & I didn't know if I had enough memory room on the wii. I know I need a Gamecube memory card but not sure about the rest. Any help is appreciated.

Wii virtual console games can be stored on SD cards, which run fairly cheap. Don't buy the Nintendo branded ones obviously.

It would take quite a lot of downloads to fill up the Wii's internal memory, so I wouldn't worry about a second card at this point. Several people have lots of VC games but haven't had to offload any onto SD cards.

Yes you can download them straight into the Wii's memory. You don't need to buy anything additional. I have about 5 VC downloads on my Wii and still have plenty of room for more... and that includes 2 N64 games.
