I just watched Ghost Rider last night and really liked the first 3 minutes of the movie that took place in the old west featuring Satan and the cowboy. (the first 3 minutes were about the only part of the movie I liked)
I was wondering if there are any good Westerns with horror elements outs there? I know it's kind of an unusual sub-genre but I'm curious now.
I think there's a From Dusk 'til Dawn sequel that takes place in the Old West, but I'm not sure of any others. I'm not really interested in Sci-fi/Westerns but list 'em if you got 'em.

Pale Rider is a great movie with a supernatural (IMO) flavor.
Grim Prairie Tales is a western horror anthology (like Tales from the Crypt) narrated by James Earl Jones.
Ravenous is a personal favorite of mine that definitely qualifies.

Not a traditional western, but I always considered 'Blood Simple' a kind of modern day western with nice scary / suspenseful moments. You got a saloon, rides out in the desert, grave digging, everyone's always sweating, and M Emmet Walsh even dresses like a cowboy.

I'm ashamed to admit that as big a fan as I am of Clint Eastwood, I've never seen either Pale Rider or High Plains Drifter and had no idea they contained supernatural elements.

For my money, Eyes of Fire is the best film to mix the two genres. Lots of quality recommendations here, though. Ravenous especially.

Ooooh, I just remembered: Ginger Snaps 3
I'm not sure how many people like this film but I may actually like it best out of the three. You don't have to see the other 2 movies to enjoy this since its set 200 years before the others (hence the western theme, although this is set in the wild west of Canada) and really has nothing to do with them (except werewolves! of course).
