I can't think of a single reason why Capcom can't/won't release something like Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX for the DS. It's all just 2-D sprites after all.

Cause there would be no benefit to stylus control. Just pick it up for GBA and play it on your DS.

...which will probably be crap because they'll force stylus control on a genre that shouldn't use it. A fighting game needs neither stylus control or a 2nd screen.

Well Contra is coming to Nintendo DS and there is zero stylus control involved.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival on GBA is worth picking up. I wasn't to big on the Alpha GBA cart, the animation was sloppy. I do hope some Street Fighter makes it to the DS though - minus touch control. I've bought both the Virtual Console Street Fighter titles and the 360 Arcade game, now all I need is a damn arcade stick.

GBA only has 4 buttons and no wifi.

'Mortal Kombat DS' will use traditional controls and will have wifi vs. options. Plus it will also include 'Puzzle Kombat', also with wifi options, as well!

Hopefully MK DS sells well and makes Capcom release 'Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo' with wifi options and 'Puzzle Fighter' included as well.

if you like SF2, just look at the Guilty Gear series. Exactly the same type of combat (move-wise) and actually uses both screens
