Stuntman: Ignition (Late August)

The demo for Stuntman: Ignition hit Live recently, and I tried it out. Very fun! Most of the problems from the last one (horrible load times, one mess up and you're done, etc.) are gone. The game is a blast. I can't wait to try out the stunt creator on the final game.

One great thing about it is that you can hit humans this time around. I hit a few on the ice level and they just go flying like ragdolls. Hilarious.

Quite a surprise!

The demo was better than the old game. However the entire style of the game drives me batty. I had a friend who would play it on the PS2 for hours trying to memorize and perfect the perfect run for the director. I could never understand the appeal, but he loved it.

I did not enjoy the demo. Not that fun, way too frustrating to have to keep starting over. The idea of it just sounds way better than the actual execution.

Seems like a solid candidate for a rental. I rented the first one, and it was incredibly frustrating. I think I made it to the last level and just could not finish it. The demo for Ignition showed me that they have fixed the major annoyances from the first game, but I still don't think it's quite worth a purchase for me.

I remember playing the first Stuntman and it pissed me off. I had to master the basics before doing anything else, so I just gave up. But after playing Ignition demo, it was OK. Maybe it's because of the graphics, but I'll be looking out for this title when it hits the bargain bins.
