Fox $10 Off @ Best Buy Works On The Simpsons & Arrested Development!!!

I just walked into the Charlottesville, VA Best Buy with 10 Fox $10 off coupons.
And I walked out with 7 seasons of the Simpsons (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, they only had Homer-head season 6,) and 3 seasons of Arrested Development for under $100.

The cashier seemed to be familiar with the coupon, and let me know that he would have to ring it up as ten separate transactions. I certainly didn't object.

I thought that the last Best Buy deal, the buy one get one free on the Warner Special Editions marked down to $9.99 was the deal of the century, but I think this latest deal may have just beaten it.

If six years ago when the first season of the Simpsons was released on DVD someone had told me I'd be receiving ten of the best seasons of comedic television on DVD for less than $100, I would have told them they were crazy.

Seasons 1-8 of the Simpsons are priced @ 19.99.
Seasons 1-3 of Arrested Development are priced @ 14.99.

Go take advantage of this deal while you can!!!

Nice. You must have gotten lucky with a cashier who would do that many transactions with the coupon like that.

They didn't let me use the coupon on Arrested Development- some idiot cashier bitched out the manager because he approved the coupon, so he decided not to give it to me.

I'll try again tomorrow...

Does the coupon actually scan to give the $10 off or does the cashier have to enter it manually?

C-ville huh? You're the Cav I was talking to a few months ago with the 2 for $10 classic movies.

But yeah I got 4 seasons of The Shield for $40 a month ago thanks to this, great bargain.

Are most stores still accepting these photocopied printouts when the coupon clearly says no copies?

^^ see post 7. Click the link and the coupon will appear for you to print out. If I'm right in remembering, you don't have to resize it, the print out should work just fine.

I noticed the Simpsons prices in the Best Buy flyer this morning and was wondering if the coupon would slip through again. I have a ton of them from the last time. Hopefully, I can find the Marge head this time around.

You should know that the coupon became a hot item a few weeks ago when all Fox TV sets were on sale for $19.99. Initially, folks were having widespread success on using the $10 off coupons in addition to the sale price. Later, however, most Best Buys were cracking down and it became very much YMMV

does anyone know if the homer head season 6 dvd and the regular box season 6 dvd for the simpsons have the same UPC code? or are they different because they're different packaging?

I'd guess different UPCs. Even the alternate package you had to send away for had a different UPC than the head.

Indeed, it may be different now since all the fuss is gone. But that sale was one of the biggest sales ever.

Thanks for the tip. I have all the seasons except Season 4 (I thought I had it but I guess I don't). Do the sets at Best Buy come with the free ticket to see the movie?

I think that will be YMMV. Most BB stores I've seen have been pretty stocked up on the simpsons from prior sales, like the past fox $19.99 sale. these sets were ordered prior to fox putting the movie tickets in the set. which means they'll only order new sets of those seasons when the stock generally runs low or is sold out, and then those will be replenished with the newer versions of the seasons with the movie ticket inside. since season 9 is the newest and is the one that's prominently featured in the ad as having the ticket, it's a higher likelihood that you'll find a copy with a ticket. but other season sets w/ ticket will probably be slim.
