Donnie Brasco: Extended Cut Price Mistake? Circuit City $4.99
Fellow Bargain Hunters-
In today's CC flyer they have a side pic of the Donnie Brasco: EC for $4.99. When I went to the B&M store they only had the older "special edition" version in the "bargain bin " with the other $4.99 movies. I found the EC on the regular shelves for $14.99 and brought it up to customer service, showed the gal the flyer and she made the adjustment on the spot. So I got a $14.99 movie for $4.99 - a $10 savings. Just passing it on in case anyone else out there is looking to add this movie to their library.
If your local CC gives you a hard time you could probably pull off a price-match at BestBuy...
Good luck.

OT, but something I noticed the last time I was in CC, the sticker on the Extended Cut's of Donnie Brasco were marked $34.99. It wasn't just one, but all of 'em...
Oh, and if CC gives you a hard time, I'd give them just as a hard time since the spine says "Extended Cut", lol.

Just bought the Donnie Braco for $4.99 with the weird $34.99 sticker on it. LOL. It says right in the ad that's it's the Extended Cut. Don't go to Best Buy, Circuit City has to sell what's in their ads and honor that price or else it's false advertising. Great deal! Also price matched 2 Die Hard Collections for $7.50!

^ So, no problem getting those Die Hard sets? I would try it at mine but the CC here are anal and no doubt would call BB, that and mine didn't have any in stock. I'm going back tomorrow and pick up the special edition (what can I say, I'm a completist).

I was just at CC and I noticed the Extended Cut of Donnie Brasco in the weekly $4.99 sale bin (despite the $35 price-sticker, lol). I don't actually care for the EC much and I own the theatrical cut, so I passed on it.
The manager at CC wouldn't let me pricematch the Die Hard set, though, he said that the ad's intent was 7.50 individually. He offered me the set for 22.50 (a good price) but I don't like the 2nd/3rd movies THAT much.

CC is usually pretty good with price mistakes. I was one of those who got the Matrix trilogy HD DVD set for $21.

Too bad there wasn't an HD DVD Combo of the Director's Cut. I may wait on this one.

Which scenes in this movie were the extras?
The only thing I noticed so far is that the girl in the beginning wasn't there before... it's been a while.

Pm'd for $4.99 at Best Buy today with no problems at all. Puts me a little closer to my summer entertainment award. Best of all I didn't have to accuse anyone of Illeagal false advertising. Thank You EDGEOFEPIC.

I'm glad everyone was able to pick up the new edition of Brasco... I have a question for you guys who bought it at Best Buy -- it's a question about their rewards program....
I'm thinking out loud. Say I wanted to buy a $10 cd at BestBuy...
1. Should I just go buy it with my credit card and rack up 10 points
OR
2. Should I first buy a BB gift cert for $10, rack up $10 in points, then go buy the CD with my gift cert and get another $10 worth of points--
Question: By using option #2 would I be able to rack up $20 worth of points for a $10 transaction? Make sense???
Has anyone tried this? Let me know...
