Crutchfield has it for $1499.99 and free shipping
I'd be using it for DVD and later the winner of the format war (HD DVD or Blu Ray) and DirecTV HD, no OTA HD here

Hitachi makes excellent plasmas (although they are rebrands). However, I've seen 50" Panasonic panels for less (or the same). I'd seek out one of those.
