Of course, I just bought the two Mythbusters sets at one of the stores that was going out of business, and now the second one is on sale for $19.99. Just my luck. Still, that's a hell of a deal if anyone wants it.

Argh, don't tempt me with this. The Mythbusters season sets for only $19.99 each?!?!?!?? I've been wanting to get them and knew I wouldn't spend $50 each, but at that price it's more affordable...but the wife would be mad at me if I got them....

EDIT: Well, I just couldn't pass it up. MythBusters Season One Parts 1 and 2 shipped for $41.54 using the $5 off $25: EMAIL07 code. Now, who wants to tell my wife?

I really want Meerkat Manor but I'm trying to control my DVD spending. I am over 100 movies behind in viewing let alone the entire Highlander and DS9 series I have to get through.

Does anyone remember this special series on Discovery? basically it showed what lifeforms would be after humans we're completely destroyed. They went foward 100 years, then 1,000 years, then 10,000 years.

It was about humans living on another planet..and sending a satelite to see what old earth looks like

Anyone knows what I am talking about? I want to know if its on sale.

19.95 for the Discovery Atlas set seems like a decent deal.

Not familiar with that, unless you're talking about =The Future Is Wild= which looks at possible evolutionary patterns over the next 200 millennia.

Now that's a buyer after my own heart! Folks, I cannot say enough good things about Living with Tigers and Living with Wolves. If you haven't seen them, get them as blind buys (hey, they're only $5 each!). Living with Wolves is flat-out amazing. Something I wish they'd show in classrooms like the old Mutual of Omaha shows we saw in elementary school (please don't do the math). Anywho, I know you'll find it's the best $10 you've spent in a long time.

I really loved the scope of what they did with that however.

You know the humans had to evolve pretty well to no longer even be living on the earth anymore.

Do they usually end up lowering prices of DVDs while the sale goes on, or is what is discounted all that's going to be? I seem to remember at previous sales that other DVDs would go down while the sale was on. I'm hoping that the MythBusters Pilots DVD goes down to $5 like I think it did before.

Shipping is kinda funky:

Super Saver shipping (=Media Mail, 7-14 days) for orders comprised of DVDs and Books only is $3.25 for the first item and $0.95 for each additional.

Standard shipping (3-5 days) for DVDs, t-shirts and jewelry only is $5.95 for the first item and $0.95 for each additional.

Standard shipping (3-5 days) including items other than DVDs, t-shirts and jewelry is a sliding scale based on merchandise total (excluding tax). Under $25 is $5.95, $25-45 is $7.95, $45-65 is $9.95, $65-90 is $11.95, $90-125 is $13.95, $125-150 is $16.95, and so on up to a maximum of $44.95 for orders over $400.

Express shipping (2-3 days) is $10 on top of Standard.

Overnight shipping (next day) is $8 more.

I placed an order on the 8th for
1 DVD: CL LIVING TIGERS for 4.99 each
This item is available, you should receive it in 7-10 business days.

2 D MB SEASON #1/PART #2 for 19.99 each
This item is available, you should receive it in 7-10 business days.

1 DVD: CL LIVING WOLVES for 4.99 each
This item is available, you should receive it in 7-10 business days.

1 PWP: DVD V3 BEST OF DISCOVERY for 4.99 each
This item is available, you should receive it in 7-10 business days.

Now they have Part 1 of Mythbusters and I need two copies of that for my two sons. I wish they'd had them on sale when I ordered the other two. I checked though and they weren't on sale at the time. I guess I should've waited awhile. Now I have to place another order. At least I'll get them cheap too.

Don't forget to check the Just Added section every couple of days, since they're constantly adding new stuff to the sale.
