I too worry about potential repercussions of this.
First, we get the "cease and desist" for Black Friday ads, now we may see it on the standard weeklies as well.

I guess it's a good sign that DVDtalk hasn't been asked to remove the listing. They tend to fold under corporate pressure. I'm actually surprised that these early listings have been tolerated for so long. Hope they stick around.

Why, Peep? I would think if anything, the corporations would be pleased to be getting so much press and advertisement. You have to figure this site represents a LARGE contingency of money spent on movies.
Without speedy's topics, I know I'd have more money in my wallet and fewer movies on my shelf right now.

Nah.... I'm OK.
The Bloomberg News service contacted me regarding yesterday's story that I leaked. I'm going to try and assist the story................
but in the interim I've been procuring Target infomation to go up this afternoon.
The Target ad also shows the PS3 unit for $499.99.
Thank You ALL and DVDTalk for your support.

I don't think Msoft is in any position to do a price drop considering they're already taking a billion dollar hit in the gaming division. Investors won't take too kindly to that.

Wouldn't it be irrelevant though since when the ad comes out in 2 weeks there would still be enough time to return it or get a price adjustment?
If the heat comes down on Speedy, then he could always post "fictional" ads for stores such as Circuitous City, Least Buy, and Tarjay...completely unrelated to any real stores, living or otherwise.
