Hidden Palms - The SERIES Finale

Ok...It aired. Any thoughts?

I had pegged the killer from the start of
Spoiler:
his and her
appearance. I wasnt sure exactly which
Spoiler:
one
did it, but oh well.
Would have loved another season.

Well you ain't getting one! The show was pure summer pulp. I'd have watched all the way through, but last week my Tivo refused to record it anymore. I literally had to make effort to shrug when I realized I'd missed episode 6 & 7.

Meh, lackluster finale. Wasn't expecting much anyway. Liked the twist at the end though.

I really enjoyed the pilot for this show, which I thought was campy fun, but the rest of the series just got really boring for me. I only stuck with it because I knew it was a limited run and there isn't much else on in the summer. It has been a long time since I have seen a show decline that much in quality from the pilot. Usually shows get better after the pilot, but this one had a really cool tone that the rest of the show lacked.

And what was up with Greta? She looked completely different in the pilot and once the series started she became blonder, skinnier, and much less interesting.

I agree, Jadzia. I gave it up after I fell asleep during episode 2. I figured if the pilot was as good as it was going to get, it was time to give it up.

The writing just got worse and worse, it was lucky to get to 8 episodes and wrap up the mystery, though it warranted only a shrug at the very end.

I enjoyed it till the end. Not a great show and the acting and writing were poor, but the atosphere and eyecandy kept me watching. Greta was my peeve of this show since day one, AmberH simply can't act.

My PVR recorded the first one (8pm EST), and the killer was revealed. Somehow things got confused because I swear that was the second one. Or was there only one episode??? At least we got some closure to everyone but Liza. Cliff and her were the only interesting characters.

Agreed. I could have done without Greta and Nikki completely.

Didn't like this finale at all. I can tell there was room for a 2nd season revolving around Greta's Dad.

Kevin Williamson needs to get out of the Teen drama genre and try something different.

Done without Greta? Blasphemy. She was THE eye candy of the show.

Ugh. Maybe we'll luck out and he'll be around as long as Jensen Ackles' character was. This also means that he'll actually be wearing a shirt most of the time too.

Here is a bit of a "What if" from Kevin Williamson over at tvseriesfinale.com

http://www.tvseriesfinale.com/2007/0...mson_drama.php

I can see where it would be in four years and I could see how it would start next season in high school. The first eight episodes represent the summer. Now we would get into the beginning of the school year and introduce a lot more characters and move forward.
Ok, so it wasn't much, but they had written more 13 episodes than were produced. It would be great if they would release those online for us to read.

Re: Hidden Palms - The SERIES Finale

Found this 8-part, who-done-it in my Netflix que for "Watch Instantly" today.

It had been in my que under "Saved DVDs" with no release date; then bam, there it is - available online for free in HD.

If you enjoyed the O.C. you'll probably like this too.

Really? Nice. It did come out on DVD in Italy I think. With Vampire
Diaries doing so well maybe it'll find it's way to DVD here.
