Harry Potter Suitcase Box Set [pre-order for Sept/Oct]

Has anyone seen the absolutely gorgeous Harry Potter 1-7 Complete Box Set up for pre-order on many online sites? It looks like the entire set is housed in a old style suitcase. I am just curious what the box is made of..To hold 7 books I assume it would need to be quite sturdy. I am sure most of us own all the books already, do you think it is worth a double dip?

What would be funny is if it came out a week before the official release date for book 7

I pre-ordered the set to give to my son as his copies. He's 10 and up to this point has allowed me to read books 1-6 to him. He's getting to the stage where he needs his own copies and I thought it would make a nice set for him.

It comes out in late Sept./early October. Amazon has it for $116.99 w/ free shipping which breaks down to $16.71 per book. The case, I would suspect, is made from sturdy cardboard. I would imagine that it would dent or tear with enough force applied.

Here's the set for those too lazy to go seek it out:

That is a nice set - we don't have all of the books in hardcover (a little late to the party) so this might be a purchase at some point.

That'd be sweet if they were all first editions.

And sweeter yet if they were all British first editions! (though I'd settle for British).

Any chance they'll sell the case separately?

That's nice. We have been holding out in getting any of the books for something cool like this.

That is a nice looking set. I may wait for a leather-bound set though.

That sure is tempting... Going to be hard to resist as I have mainly paperbacks of them all right now.

After getting a good look at the picture on Amazon I think this box is not cardboard as those ropes at the sides would not hold up on cardboard. It also looks like the box is lined with felt, not sure though but it sure does look amazing!

The set is actually a little cheaper at bn.com compared to Amazon, if you use a 15%/25% off coupon or if you are a member and use a coupon.

Here is another pic:

Since I have all the UK hardcovers now (#7 on preorder obviously), I may actually get this as well to have the US hardcover editions for the different text and the illustrations.

I wonder if there will be something similar with the UK editions. I've got the US ones, but wouldn't mind the UK one's.

A set has been announced but there are no current images/descriptions of what it will look like. Same release time frame as the US set.

It's available for pre-order but you might hold off until an image is available:

That's seems to be a different (wrong?) ISBN. Here: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5888681

EDIT: Nevermind, the tax kills the deal. Are there any BN.com 25% coupons?

It looks nice, but the books appear to be tightly jammed in there.
