Their site has it for $14.99, not sure if it normally matches up with the store though.

Yep, it was $14.99 at Target. Since I have the original release I'll wait for the inevitable price drop and pick the new one up when it hits the bargain bins.

Yeah it was $14.99 at Best Buy...

I have to say there is no reason for this movie to be 2 discs. They could have fit all the crap on disc 2 onto disc 1, so I'm not exactly sure why it's 2 discs.

Probably because this edition features widescreen and fullscreen.

No. Wrong. Bullshit. Have you even looked at the reviews of the two editions here?

After reading a few reviews of the Family Fun Edition, I've decided to wait on it. I love the movie, but until now I didn't realize the theatrical presentation simply mattes off the tops and bottoms. That means the old full frame DVD release I already own shouldn't be missing any picture. Apparently the video restoration helped a bit, but not enough. Sound is still stereo only, and the only extras are a commentary, featurette, and some games for kids. So with both FF and LBX versions of the movie on disc 1, each version is effectively a low bitrate single layer transfer, and the extras disc only holds the short featurette and kids games... I wouldn't be surprised if it's barely a half full single layer disc. Something I read made it sound like lots of other extras were planned, but they ran out of time so they dropped most of them to meet the deadline. I would've preferred they postpone it a long time rather than take the cheap-o route. That's what I gathered from my reading on this.

So my price point is $6 on this one. It's sad because I would've really liked a super deluxe treatment of this movie with meaningful extras.
