Okay, the DVD that Anchor Bay released in 2001 is almost perfect, but there are a couple of things missing that I'd like to have.
- a commentary with Winona Ryder, Shannen Doherty, Christian Slater, and Lisanne Falk.
- a biography tribute on the life and death of Kim Walker (died March 6, 2001 at the age of 32)
plus all of the extras on the 2001 disc. Anything else?

Didn't Heathers come out in 1989?
I've already double-dipped on this one, and am pretty happy with the extras on the version that's out now. So I probably wouldn't triple-dip on this one.

Actor commentaries are usually useless, with a lot of giggling or happy talk or dead air. Unless these actors actually had things to say (or were edited together well, Criterion-style), I could do without that. Honestly, though it's a great movie, the only thing that would get me to buy it again at this point would be a high-def release (with all the 2001 special features, of course).

But, IMDb (as well as a few others) lists it as 1989. I always thought it was released theatrically in 1988, but I've been wrong many times before.

I would love a rerelease. Since i never got a replacement for my defected copy. And have not been able to find the corrected copies on the shelves since(they'd state "Version 2.0 on the back). So I never dared risked picking up the many copies I see at Target,Borders and so on.

I liked the movie but not enough to double-dip.

I'll only buy if it has some sort of asinine title:
Heathers: The "If you were happy every day of your life you wouldn't be a human being, you'd be a game-show host" edition
Heathers: The "I love my dead gay son" edition
etcetera.
Oh and it should come with a copy of Moby Dick with meaningful passages underlined.
