DVD Talk review of 'Islam: What the West Needs to Know - An Examination of Islam, Violence, and the Fate of the Non-Muslim World.'
I read Holly E. Ordway's DVD review of Islam: What the West Needs to Know - An Examination of Islam, Violence, and the Fate of the Non-Muslim World. at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=28654 and... it was a good review that got me interested in seeing the dvd.
But even though the review header states a release date of 06/01/07 (a Friday?), clicking on the amazon link shows that it's not available (save for one copy from an independant seller for $200).
What the hell's going on here?

Well after digging around a bit, and not seeing it available at any US retailer (save for the gouger on amazon), I found it up for a pre-order at amazon, Canada, and it doesn't come out until July 24. I still smell some shenanigans though, because why would it get reviewed so soon, and why are there so many user reviews on amazon?

I'm glad this is finally coming out on DVD. It played in just one movie theater here in Atlanta around a year ago, but only for a single week and was gone before I had a chance to catch it. After kicking myself for missing it then, I'm looking forward to finally being able to see it!
