Noticed this online last night, did an instore pickup, and it was indeed the EE. For $9.99 with a free $8.50 movie ticket that's a pretty good deal.

I don't see the free ticket offer on that link. Can you go to a BB B&M store and buy the DVD for $9.99 and get this deal? Or is (was?) it only an online thing?

How do the free tickets work? Do you get a coupon you can hand in at any theatre to get a free ticket?

The free ticket is inside the DVD package. It's a coupon that functions sort of like a pre-determined check.

I think this is a price mistake or something since the original release is $9.99 in the ads. But I took my receipt down and they price adjusted it (I brought the printout of the page), so got $7 back.

Thanks OP! :)

Ordered it for in-store pickup with the $25 gift card I got from Safeway this week for buying 10 Pepsi (buy 2 12 pack cases get 2 free plus 24 ct. water!) and Firto-Lay products!

Just ordered one for store pick up as well. Hope it's the right one because I've been waiting to pick this one up at a cheaper price and $9.99 is a price I'm willing to jump at. Thanks OP!

Yeah, I posted about this earlier this morning. There is also a $4 off manufacturer coupon floating around out there if we could get someone to scan it. See my post for details.

This would make it $5.99 for the extended edition dvd put movie cash. Great deal!

Thanks OP!

I ordered online for in store pick up and it was waiting when I got there and was the extended edition.

Bought one in store this evening for $9.99. I only found one copy on the shelf, though there may have had them located in another place as well.

Ok I just got back from BB to get my instore pickup. I first wanted to check out the dvds and tv's. While walking around the tv section looking at the sweet plasmas I notice stacks and stacks of "Fox Best Buy Exclusive Home Theater Demo Disc", I picked up one, shook it, something was shuffing around in it. I walked up to the checkstand and I asked, "Do I need a receipt?" He scanned it, came up not in system. So I walked out with it.

Once Outside I opened it and it had 5 coupons:

$2 off Borat
$3 off Night At The Museum
$5 off one of four Fox Blu-Ray discs
$10 off Fox tv
and

$4 off Fantastic Four EE

All expire 8/31

I walked back in and walked out with FF EE for $5.99! Nice!

Was able to pick-up a copy. Only saw 2 copies in the store with both slipcases a bit beat-up. Not a big deal since the image is the same below. Thanks OP.

It's ringing up $9.99 in the store so no need for in store pick-up.

Huh. When I ordered it last night from BB.com it was $19.99 on Amazon. Anyway, it's still a great deal.

And sorry about not seeing that other thread. Since the title didn't mention the $9.99 price point, I didn't see the thread.

I'm stuck at work all day, and would love to online order for store pickup to guarantee I get one. But I want to use the coupon too. Anyone have success doing this? You can't do it online, but maybe if i present the coupon at pickup they can go in and credit me the $4? Seems unlikely, but maybe someone has done it before?

I was thinking of doing the same thing too. I ordered it online last nite for store pick up and was gonna pick it up today after work. I am gonna get the coupon and present it to them and see if they would take it. If not, then i'll return it and just buy it again with the coupon.

You most definitly can't do that. It's not that they won't allow it, it's the fact that you can't touch a BBuy.com order. They can only return to original form of payment. They can't do anything with it in POS (for example, pricematch or exchange.) In most situations they would just return it to you and then resale in store with the coupon, in which case if the dvd does goes up in price, they will probably mark it down seeing how you purchased online previously for $9.99.

Also for those that can't find it in stock, like I said in my other thread, when you create a raincheck it does it for $9.99. Seeing how the coupon is good through August, you can still get the $6 price whenever more come in stock!

Good points, although the main reason we're all doing this, I imagine, is to take advantage of the moviecash, so it hopefully comes back in stock in the next few weeks.

Maybe I'll buy one online and then do the return/rebuy trick.

Most likely the stores will get more in stock this week. I know both of the stores near me had over 10 in transit, and one had them coming in on Wed.

Well, it's still 9.99 online right now. So we can assume it's still 9.99 in store (if you are lucky enough to find it). So good luck everyone! May the hunt begin!

As for rainchecks, doesn't it need to be 9.99 in this week's ad to get a raincheck?

While that does seem to be true this time, it isn't always the case. I've done the in-store pickup thing for a few online price mistakes (I assume) in the past, and the items most definitely did not ring up for that price in store.

Bandit03

My store had now only a couple left this morning, when yesterday right before close I called and they said they had a ton, odd.

Liquid Death
06-19-07, 12:14 PM
Yeah, in retail "ton" is usually codeword for "I'm not going to go look and actually count."

Snowmaker
06-19-07, 12:37 PM
My store only had 4 left. All with some type of damage to the slipcover, but I grabbed one, even though I know my wife got it for me for my birthday. I'm sure she paid first-week price though, so I'll just return the more expensive one with this slipcover on it.

davethomasowns
06-19-07, 12:40 PM
I am 100% positive they are still ringing up $9.99 in store as of about 10:30am this morning. Also kenbenobi, I had a raincheck made at the Ocoee, FL store last night and since it was an advertised item it created the raincheck for 10 bucks. The raincheck feature simply checks to see if the item is advertised; when it creates the price it uses the current sale price.

The reason I know all of this by the way is because I work Customer Service at the Ocoee store. I checked in RSS (our inventory program,) and it was $9.99 nationwide, which leads me to believe it may stay at the price all week.

Snowmaker
06-19-07, 12:41 PM
If anyone is thinking this is a price mistake, its not. They had separate $9.99 shelf tags for both editions right next to each other.

Yep, I saw the same seperate tag also.

My receipt for it said REG next to it when I picked it up today for $9.99.

Just an FYI to everyone, there's a $4 off coupon you can use that's posted in another thread. It worked perfectly for me today bringing my total to $5.99 for the flick.

Went about an hour ago, picked up the last one in the store, took it up with the coupon, rang up 9.99 and she scanned the coupon, no questions.

Thanks to the OP for the deal and to the poster who scanned the coupon. 5.99 is a great deal with the movie cash, so essentially a dvd and trip to the new movie for 6 bones, not bad.

Thanks OP for this deal. Got it for $5.99. Had last week's receipt in my wallet. Walked over to Customer Service - got a refund for last week's purchase!

btw - as of 4:30pm today - there were three copies left at Chicago (North/Clybourn) not on shelf - on cart in TV on DVD aisle

My store already put an end to this. I got it at 10am this morning. A manager was called over, but he approved it. However, he took the coupon away. I went back at 6pm to get one for a friend. Every cashier had a copy of MY coupon, saying DO NOT ACCEPT. Oops! So any Milwaukeeans, don't go to South Ridge. Deal is dead there...

I am so pissed! I took the free movie money to the same theater I always go to (and have used the Hollywood Movie Money at before) and now they no longer accept it. AMC supposedly had a contract that expired on May 1st, and the only good theaters around me are AMC.

I complained and asked how they communicated this to their customers (as I am there weekly, but never saw any postings or anything), but they just said "you should check the Movie Money website on the day you want to go to see which theaters will accept it."

I would not have purchased this DVD otherwise. It was worth it for the $2 or so (writing off the price of the ticket) but for the full $10 ... I already had the first release.

Damnit! The cashier at my local Best Buy wouldn't take the coupon. He said the coupon wasn't good on sale prices. Not that I'm surprised, since the coupon specifically states that, and that the people that work at my local Best Buy are jerks. Oh well, the main reason I bought it was for the movie ticket. $1.50 for a DVD ain't bad.

Wow...coupon worked at my BB. Cashier looked at it for a second, then just scanned it, and, bam...$5.99. The reason this was for 9.99 was because it was supposed to be only 9.99 when you bought the video game to go along with it, it stated this in the ad.
